Peridot's expression on that last panel
my word
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard PlaythroughOdds that they don't remember Nautilus and assume she's an enemy?
Umbran Climax◊What with the effects of the Hocus Crocus, it might even take longer than expected to break the Un-person curse.

Alternately: they remember her, but think that she stayed behind in the Ripple Kingdom after the first chapter.
"I've come to the conclusion that this is a very stupid idea."RIP Peridot.
Oh my god this page.
Ouch.
I am dumb so I need an explanation about what's going on.
Not with each other = forgotten?
Noooooo... Peridot! Poor, poor Peridot! T-T
...That's actually a very interesting summary... In particular, I note these points:
Indeed, looking at the list of plant-names given for the orbs in that answer, I wonder whether the unassigned ones might not be the royal family: Queen Aster and Princess Sunflower, at a guess?

My Games & WritingSo I found this gem...
NK's is the best one, hands down. I'm just confused about that first item. Peridot's and Almond's entry are just below, so who's the other one?
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out.

Cucumber seems REALLY scared about being hugged. I know he doesn't remember Nautilus, but wow that's a bit of an overreaction lol. He went freaking pale.
Well, given that Cucumber is a bit high-strung, getting hugged by *ahem* a complete stranger that knows everyone's names could be a little unnerving.

I'd be shocked too, if a total stranger glomped me like that.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...I'm guessing Aster and Sunflower are Mr. R's assistants. Perhaps Flower Kingdom has double kings?
Maybe they're a couple?
I'm curious why floral names would matter. I mean, I could understand why it would effect the residents of the Flower Kingdom, but Cucumber, Almond and Carrot are from the Breakfast Kingdom...
Oh God! Natural light! The other's names all grow on something?

Very interesting. Good to have it spelled out, I was getting a bit lost.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.It may simply be a limit to RoseMaster's power, and a part of her theme. Perhaps she can only affect "plants", although this definition extends to figurative applications: she can affect almonds, so she can affect Almond.
My Games & WritingAlmond flower.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I think cucumbers and carrots actually have flowers. Never heard of an "almond flower," but stranger things happen, I'm sure.
Edit: Professor Google confirms that almond flowers are a thing, though he prefers almond flour. They're quite pretty.

Almond blossoms. They grow on almond trees, and they look kind of like cherry blossoms. I guess that's why the comic has her name in the contest as "technically a flower" because it's on a tree instead of its own plant.

I think that the spell will be broken by Cucumber using Mutemaster magic, catching Rosie's accessory without meaning to, which will drain away its magic.
And then everyone will feel super awkward for not remembering Nautilus/Peridot.

Carrots has flowers too if you google. (first thing I tried when carrot mentioned that they should know what those flowers are)
@Ninety:
If it was directed at me, then for the sake of clarity, I think that I did realise that RoseMaster's power over others is (presumably) focussed on flowers in specific, rather than plants in general, and that almonds have flowers (I believe that it had previously come up in the thread); my post before yours was perhaps less clear than it might have been.
