Well like most successful species, if you provide them plenty of food and space at the right temperature and no predators or threats, bees will increase in population over time. They can take care of the "breeding" thing just fine on their own. You can't just put on Barry Manilow and dim the lights though.
The hard part is making sure we don't put anything into the air or the plants that'll kill them off.

Well to be fair, WE have seen more screentime of Pancetta than Pumice. And that's even if you don't count Bacon himself, both as a BLT member and during the music kingdom arc.

I could see him being torn on this. One possibility is that this comic portrayal of him serves to lessen people's fear of him, which is kinda what he wants, but he needs that fear in order to maintain his powers. On the other hand, this could bring him to the forefront of the public consciousness again, making people fear him more, which he doesn't really want, but does need. It's a lose/win:win/lose situation.
Nightmare Knight's gonna have to crash some studios! Peridot's gonna meet her idol! Can't wait!
