Anyone got any good strategy games where a sound objective is to kill as few people and engage in as little warfare as possible? Preferably one that is open ended.

The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.

It can be done in several of the Civilization series games.

The strategy stealth game Robin Hood; legend of Sherwood rewards you for as few deaths as possible. killing everyone on the map is a clear example of Doing It Wrong.

I've been trying it in Crusader Kings... its not easy as I'm stuck between letting my rebellious vassals go or brutally subjugating them. I can't just beat them once and take their lands off them; that makes everyone else turn on me. What I'm afraid of is letting go of a bunch of vassals (England) and then France or Scotland comes and kills us.
