Premature launch: Red Hair And Freckles

So I screwed up and accidentally launched this YKTTW before the sponsor was ready. Is the article OK in its present form? I'm sorry...

Hm, I'd go back in for elaboration on the examples a bit if there's more to it than simply personal appearance, which it seems to be.

I'd also move all the work names to the front, but that's a personal pet peeve of mine.

I agree about elaboration in the examples. I feel like trope examples work better when they describe how the trope is being using for story-telling purposes rather than just forming a list. When that is done, I would suggest adding the trope to the Personal Appearance Tropes index and maybe the Paint the Index Red one too.

The main problem is that the YKTTW archive implies that the article was supposed to have more tweaking done before launching.

The trope was going to be about how freckles symbolises youth and indicates that the character is a misfit. One of the commenters thought the trope was a mismatch with the hair part getting in the way, not clear enough and not well organized, and I agree.

Jeez... yes this needs to be unlaunched and then relaunched with the changes.

The problem, as I pointed out in the YKTTW is that the name suggests it's about Red Hair and Freckles, sort of like Greeneyed Redhead. Which could be it's own trope, as there is that association.

However, the description is about Freckles = Youth. Since that is a more common trope then Red Hair and Freckles I figured that the name should be changed to reflect the broader nature of the trope. Additionally the description could use some cleanup.

The OP agreed with my suggestion and was going to make the changes. But then it got launched.

Sigh... I'll move it to the other name Youthful Freckles right now. Then we can clean up the description.

So, should this but CutListed and sent back to YKTTW?

Ehh... I think it was close to being ready for launch. Really it just needed a more fitting name.

We can cut it if everyoine want to an send it back to YKTTW.

I made an attempt to rewrite it and post it at Youthful Freckles. It's not perfect, but I think it's good enough that Wiki Magic can take care of it now. For one thing the examples need to be rewritten to work with the new description. I corrected the few I know.

If people are satisfied with it we can just cut Red Hair and Freckles, or even just make it a redirect.
