Well, the description is leaning towards story examples, but quite a few examples are just about stolen weapons or stuff like that. Which one is this trope?

The description on this one is very clear. It's about when the game's story gives you a reason to fight your own faction's units. Stolen units would count for this purpose, I'd think, if it's part of the setup for a mission, but the ability to convert an enemy's forces to your side wouldn't; that's just Mind Control.

Looking very briefly at the examples, I note some confusion over whether this includes cases where you fight reskinned unit sets intended to represent a different faction (example: Blood Elves vs. Night Elves in Warcraft III). I'd say that's a borderline case that can stay.

I also see a lot of This Troper and Thread Mode, which needs to go regardless.

Well the Belfs in Warcraft 3 were exact clones of the humans with the exception of that one unit which didn't make sense lore wise so they cloned another very similar unit.

Did a lot of cleanup here. I glossed over some of the examples (Warhammer, Supreme Commander, Homeworld, etc) owing to lack of familiarity with the series, so someone else may want to double-check it.

There were also some non-RTS examples which I wasn't sure what to do with. This being specified as an RTS trope, I erred on the side of deleting them. I won't complain if someone decides to restore those that are actually examples (The Civ4 one, for instance, is not, being gameplay-based instead of story-based), though it'd be ideal if they were compiled under a "Non-RTS Examples" folder.

Other than that, are we done here?

I wouldn't be posting at this forum if I didn't think it a necessary step.

I nuked the WC 3 Night Elf example, as the enemy units weren't ones you can build. There's another mission from the same campaign that might be an example, but I'm not sure if the Satyrs were really a clone race aside from using "corrupted" versions of the Night Elf buildings.
