  • Codename: Stretch
  • Civilian name: Bob Taylor
  • Powers: Can stretch and shape his body to degrees. To give examples,he could turn into a human parachute, or a large human hammer, turn his hands into a shield, turn his hands into a human sledgehammer and stretch out his arms real quick for a whiplash effect, etc. However, he can't actually change the materials that he's made out of, or stretch his body out to super-ridiculous proportions; he couldn't turn into freaking Godzilla, or anything like that. His powers have a wide variety of uses without making him too powerful. Additionally, the properties of his body cause improved resistance to harm; certain psychical attacks, such as bullets, or normal-powered punches, would either cause him no harm or bounce right back. Energy attacks and the like however would give their full effects, and if a physical attack has enough power to it, (such as a really strong superhuman punch,) then he'll actually feel some pain from it; his body would still reduce some of the impact though.
  • Status: Wanted
  • Age: 23. Graduated from college the previous year, and has been working as a journalist. Ever since the Registration Act started though, it's been tough for his boss to get a hold of him; he's been showing up at work less and less frequently...
  • Backstory: Bob would have been like most any other young men, if it weren't for unexpected circumstances that, quite frankly, were out of his control. Bob's father, Mr.Taylor was working on a new serum that, when completed, could increase a body's elastic properties. Why? Because he had one too many screws lose, to say the least; his wife only married him because he had good money, and he he only married her because of her genetics, not that she knew this. But the sex was good, they both admitted, and so a baby boy was to be born. One day however, his employers had cut Mr.Taylor's funding, after a prototype version of the formula caused the Guinea Pig's tongues to grow so large that they had to be cut off. But this did not dissuade Mr.Taylor; using the money he still had left over, he was able to complete the serum on his own. Now though, he needed a human test subject. After mulling over whether or not he should drug some poor sap of the street, he came to the conclusion that for the best, most potent results, he could very well inject the serum into a fetus; if the child survived, it would no doubt manifest the results of the formula with more power then could be gained from those who already been born. And what better test subject to use then his own son?

When it came time to do the deed, he put a drug in his Ms.Taylor's daily glass of brandy; when she was properly out of it, Mr.Taylor then injected the serum into his wife; his decision to marry her seemed to had payed off, and, in time, his deductions about her genetics as well. She was able to survive the birthing process, with the side effect that her reflexes and agility were better then ever. But as for young Bob Taylor, he seemed to posses no signs of the serum. Even though Mr.Taylor could have probably come to the answer of this conundrum with proper reasoning and SCIENCE!, he just couldn't think straight; his experiments post the cutting of the funding has left him near-broke, and Bob didn't seem to show any fruits of those labors. And so, soon after, Mr.Taylor took the path of the handgun. (Or, in other words, he committed suicide.)

Seeing as how Ms.Taylor hadn't much to go on after all that, she regretfully placed her child in an orphanage, where he grew up knowing nothing whatsoever of his parents, or of any experiments, and was adopted by a happy couple at the age of 7. He led a fairly normal life, and showed no abnormality aside from great flexibility. He got a job at 17, graduated from High School at 18, and moved out that same year to attend college, and he acquired an apartment room as well. (And he left his old job behind of course, but he had acquired enough money, and was soon able to get a new job.) Soon after though, Bob's life changed completely. Bob had some friends over one night, and... nothing came of it. Seriously, it was a nice gathering, no rapes happened, and everyone ended no worse for wear. It was after the get-together that things got interesteing; one of his friends had accidentally left a banana peel near the 'porch', (that area some apartments rooms have that is outside,) and the crew was on a high floor of the apartment. And then it happened. After the get-together, Bob decided to go out on the porch to breath the fresh night air before going to bed. He did so, (and was right next to the railing,) then turned right around... and slipped on the banana peel.

Before he knew it, Bob had fallen over the handrail, and he was promptly convinced that he would go splat on the payment. But then, something happened; as if in reaction to the danger and the high adrenaline, Bob's right arm shot straight up, grabbing the railing...and promptly creating a rebound effect. Not having full control over his new abilities, he bounced straight up over the railing, and right near the top of the building. Upon instinct, he stretched his feet quickly to the railing, stretched them around the railing like a knot, and then pulled himself forward. He then moved his feet around, and his body too, and eventually, was able to pull himself over the railing, and back into safety. And anyone who had happened to see this entire spectacle likely thought themselves to be bloody drunk. Bob then promptly passed out.

As the days went by, Bob wasn't sure what to make of his new abilities; he tested them continuously, was able to gain much better control of them in time, (and actually become a decent contender power-wise,) but he still wasn't sure what to actually make of them. But it was then, when he was complementing this all once again, that he saw what was to be a major influence for him; the news was actually reporting something genuinely interesting for a change, and this was the onset of actual, bonafide superheroes, powers and all. Bob took a good look at himself, and decided that he didn't know anything better to do with his abilities; that, and it wasn't easy for him to get hurt as he found out in his tests. So, he decided to give the superhero thing a try. He found that it wasn't too bad, but only did so at first to try to 'find himself'. Eventually though, he not only got used to the job, and not only became good at it within just a few short years, but actually grew to be a true hero, inside and out.

Today, while he isn't exactly Superman, he's still a half-decent superhero, and can get the job done well enough. He's also of the opinion that if a superhuman does something bad, while it can give something of a bad representation of the Superhero Community as a whole under the right circumstances, that doesn't automatically make every hero a SOB, him included. So, when the Registration Act came about, he reluctantly chose to go against the regulations, and not join the program, thus giving him the status of 'wanted'. And if that wasn't the only problem, it seems that his father wasn't so dead after all... (Yes, I'm hoping to turn that last line into a subplot for this character, though it will of course be an aside to the main events here.)

  • Appearance: His 'normal' appearance is very plain; 5'4, and brown hair, and a wimp psychically. As a superhero though, he uses his abilities to adjust his appearance; 6'1, black curly hair, muscular, black jeans, black t-shirt, and a black longcoat with a black 'S' emblem with white background. He frequently has to take off his coat to use the higher extent of his powers, and and sometimes has to buy new coats, depending on what occurs. Oh, and he also has black shoes and black socks.
  • Personality: How he will develop over time will of course depend on what happens in the game, but at the outset at least, he's fairly outgoing and high spirited. Likes to make jokes and Deadpan Snarker comments. Is free-willed and values Independence. And there's of course a lot more details and nuances that will pop up in the actual game.

I hope this is acceptable. =)

I don't really have a problem, aside from tl;dr.

Recommended for takedown: Non-kinetic-based weaponry. Incendiary rounds acceptable. Use Melee applications where available. If possible, use ice-based weponry to lower body temperature.

Grey Star's character is accepted, too.

Codename: The Black Rider (NO ITS NOT RACIAL HE WEARS ALL BLACK...U RACIST JK)

Civilian Name: Nathan Ryder

Powers:

  • Near peak human speed
  • Peak human strength
  • Peak human durability (through repetitive training with the SEALS and Green Berates he can over come eminence physical, emotional, and mental torture)
  • Regenerative healing factor (only actual super power the rest the the result of intense training)
  • combat and weapons expert
  • interrogation expert (during his time in black ops he learned how to work information out of people without using violence)

Rank:

Status: wanted (originally due to his knowledge of government secrets he is considered a threat to national security now also due to his ability)

Recommendations for Takedown:

Appearance: like a mix between ultimate nick fury and Luke Cage

  • no eye patch but has scars ue to healing factor not be 100%
  • wears vest like this
  • armed to the teeth with various knives

Age: 50

Backstory: Nathan was an African American soldier for 20 years, he was part of the government's wars (both secret and public) in the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's in countries including Invasion of Grenada and Salvadoran Civil War. After retirement, CIA, NAS, and FBI decided he knew too much and had a hit put out on him. He retaliated, only in defense, using sedatives and sleep inducing holds until the registration act was passed, drawing more attention to him. He is a practicing Buddhist and has taking (and repeatedly broken) a vow of non-violence. Even in his days in Black Op's he didn't use guns, they left too much room for error and left to unneeded deaths.

During his child he grew up in Highland Park, Michigan. and was physically abused as a kid by his perfectionist father, who demanded everything be done perfectly at all times (THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR LATER!!). When he was 18 hes healing factor started to kick in. At first it hurt eminently but over the next 2 decades while he was in the army it saved him countless times, and he became numb to the pain.

(juan I recommend decapitation or dismemberment for the way to kill him...or some anti-healing factor acid ala x-men).

he's only bad because the government screwed him over with the registration act, he was on gov pay roll as a black op's member but he had enhanced to peak human abilities, and they tried to kill him.

Ok, let me put it this way: Guns are a no-no.

And just because he has a justification doesn't mean he isn't an antihero. It just means he's a well written anti hero. (Which he probably is)

It just isn't what we're looking for.

I deleted guns only knives and he always goes for none vital areas and uses jut enough force to KO the person, not kill them. now he'll throw a gun, or take your gun, remove the clip, empty the chaber, and slap you with it but never USE a gun

Fair enough. I'm not the only GM in this game. So my approval is not everything.

You still have to bring a full profile, just so we're clear.

also, please be concise with your backstory. Someone gave me whole freaking page of backstory and I don't think I'll be using the whole thing.
