No one else is the same!
The Hub is a HUGE improvement over Discovery Kids.
This is truly outrageous news.
Even if I don't watch it, it'd be kind of cool if it got a remake like Hasbro's other properties on the Hub. Given the surge of pop star centered shows, an animated sci-fi take seems even more natural now.
There's also rumors that Shout Factory is going to put the whole series on DVD this year, finally completing it like Rhino failed to do.
visit my blog!Oh.
Old episodes.
Who here automatically thought this was a brand new adaptation, since that's what the HUB has done to every 80's cartoon since it started? And it got me wondering what a 2011 Jem animated series would be like.

Dude, you do know that The Hub also plays G1 Transformers and G.I. Joe, right?
(though I wouldn't mind seeing a 2011 Jem, now that Hasbro knows how to remake their properties and make them not suck)
visit my blog! But would a 2011 Jem still be outrageous? Truly, truly outrageous?
i. hear. a. sound.If the music's contagious, I would say yes.
Well, Jem is her name, no one else is the same.

But what about the misfits? Their songs are better
And they are gonna get her!
So is Jem excitement?
Jem is Adventure!
I think we've run out of theme song, guys.
Unless anyone wants to confess that they and their friends are Jem Girls.
visit my blog!I'll post this here since a huge chunk of the demographic here is either too young to remember or simply didn't exist back in the 80's:
Fun fact: that's actually the second opening. The one originally used for the Five Part Pilot was this:
If I'm honest, this is my favorite even if its not as iconic as "Truly Outrageous."
(For the last season, a new song called "Glitter and Gold" was recorded. Nobody remembers it because it sucked)
visit my blog!I get a kick of how this is part of the "sunbow universe" (hector ramierez from GI Joe and D-compose from inhumanoids appeared in a pair of episodes) which is comprised of GI Joe, Transformers, Inhumanoids, and this show (one could argue that Beast Wars/Machines is also a part since it takes place in the same continuity as G1). Too bad Buzz Dixon wasnt allowed to have the scene in the My Little Pony movie where one of the ponies encountered shipwreck (no, im serious).
I'm still looking for Tommy Westphall.
^^^ I think main reason the second opening was more popular because it had the Misfits.
You guys got royally screwed up by the Rhino DVDs or something.
"The Totally Outrageous" was the first theme to Jem. "Me and My Friends are Jem Girls" was the one that started the second season.

Logging off, Dr Thinker, a.k.a, Mad WritterI have recordings from TV (even from the original airing) where episodes after the mini-series use "Truly Outrageous."
Granted, Rhino was known to eff up their DVD sets, but I can't see them arbitrarily switching around the order of the opening themes.
visit my blog!Jem is romance.
Fashion and Fame.

I wonder if the Hub will edit Who Is He Kissing?
