It's not a requirement, but I still think we should make it more specific, to avoid people picking it arbitrarily. That or a collage.
(Although if it's a landslide I guess it's OK.)

The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.I get a certain mystical sense from the leading picture: she has Eyes of Gold, she's apparently charming a bird, and she's in a high-fantasy-style outfit. Not outright magical, no, but to me it gives off the precise amount of spiritual vibe which is called for by the trop description.

Productivity is for people without internet connections. -Count DorkuAnd, as a bonus, Micaiah is, in fact, a perfect example of the "magical" aspect the description mentions.
But even without that, she's got white hair and is pretty, which is all we really need for the image.
Also, in addition to being magical, Micaiah also have an interesting ancestry. Another bonus for the trope.
If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead? So, can someone find Storm throwing lightning or something?
Fight smart, not fair.If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.
Not bad, but has the disadvantage of several other characters being in the shot.
What's precedent ever done for us?I think the emphasis should be the hair. Would be a good tiebreaker too; that way we won't judge simply because a character is cute or familiar. Emphasis is more or less objective.
Not to say people voted that way, but I sure did here. Didn't know how to tell that one picture is better than the other.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.I could crop it further, but the problem in that case is that i'm too lazy to photoshop the guy with the dagger out, without the dragon rider attacking them it loses the reason as to why she's using magic in that situation (which could mislead people into thinking she's just putting her hand over the sun, well, make it more misleading, anyway) and I think it looks cooler this way.
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.
Storm's a decent example in general, but that image has the problem of her hair being green
Edmania's pic is great.
If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead?I think the background characters are just out of focus enough that we can pay attention to the girl.
Agreed.
If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead? All the clutter seems unnecessary and distracting, since it's not really related to the trope. Also, her hair looks kinda pink in that one.

Productivity is for people without internet connections. -Count DorkuI'd say that's due to the lighting and that magic thingie she's doing.
I really prefer the one without the background. It's less busy, now that I think about it.
Unfortunately, there aren't any art stills of her just wielding the magic, though the current lead will suffice.
The magickal qualities are mostly optional.
- Also optional: indicative of specialty, magical, ethereal, nonhuman origins, wise.
- Required: white hair, pretty, girl.
I suggest placing more emphasis on the hair as the priority. "Lei'ella" has good focus, though I haven't voted her up or down.

That first one is really good.
That will do. A tad bit too big, though.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman. Not bad. I'd be fine with either at this point.

Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
I like Storm best (but that's because I'm a biased X-men fan) but the leading image is good too imo, I'd be satisfied with it as a page image as well.
This is Mimi-don't let her cuteness fool you-she's got spunk.
