Well, we know somebody had advance warning. The question is whether it was Transocean, or BP itself. (Not the most balanced of sources, but I've seen the quote itself corroborated elsewhere.)
That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something AwfulReally, I don't see any need to suspect any kind of unusual conspiracy here. Such a lawsuit is pretty much inevitable in any such incident where a subcontractor's work has led to losses for the company that hired them. Of course BP (or its insurers) will wish to pass as much of the responsibility down the chain as it can; of course, Transocean will for its part try and show that BP's decisions were the fatal ones.
A brighter future for a darker age.As was said elsewhere some time ago, BP is happy to accept a piece of the blame pie... so long as it gets the SMALLEST piece.
Not really seeing any of the involved parties learning from their mistakes, here.
Furthermore, I think Guantanamo must be destroyed.

I'm tempted to call this irony, or an attempt to get the blame off BP. I really am
