Let's be honest, I have too high standards for myself to actually think myself as a good writer, but I have received positive feedback every now and then. Some kind words used about my writing:

  • I have a strong visual side, which means I can describe things well, and cut out just before it turns to Purple Prose or stops the story on its tracks.
  • Lot of witty and sarcastic dialogue that actually manages to be funny.
  • Well thought out world and characters.
  • The plot lines and events are unpredictable in a good way; I know how to avoid cliches.
  • And probably the biggest compliment of them all: I can write hooks so that you don't want to stop reading until the whole thing's over. The person who gave these comments to me actually keeps poking me every now and then about the continuation for the story.

Hmm. Reading her comments again gave a nice boost for my ego and made my day a little lighter.
