Oh boy, Showgirls... :O
I'm not always that interested in horror films generally speaking, but I like taking little bits away from sub-genres and the like. I'd probably go with either Nosferatu (the first version I saw had a really effective quasi-synth soundtrack that I have never found anywhere) or the original Dawn of the Dead. I don't find the latter frightening as so much I find it, as someone else has said on the forums, fun.
I know that The Exorcist is a bit flat these days. I still consider its screenplay to be very good over everything else about it though.
High School Musical. The horror.…
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoHard Candy. And I don't even have testicles.
I like my coffee black just like my metal.I just watched Human Trafficking. It's not a horror movie, but it might as well be. I was scared shitless and squicked through most of it. The things they did in there... I knew forcing women into prostitution was terrible, but seeing it so up close... It's like a movie about Hell, only this does happen in real life, too.
Seriously, this is the scariest movie I've ever seen and yet it's a good one, I felt I had to watch it to the end to see what happens to those people. If you're considering watching this, I suggest you make sure you don't have a weak heart. And bring tissues and a bag for vomiting, just in case. And don't eat during the movie!
Okay, an update, apparently it's not a movie, but a mini-series. My bad, the tape I had it on made me think it's a movie.

Please don't feed the trolls!I'm gonna have to watch Alien one of these days. I know I'm missing out.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.That's 'cause The Birds has more Eye Scream.
I watched that fairly recently. I really enjoyed it. The only "big bug" films I'm exposed to tend to be the ones on MST 3 K(and those are technically mostly arachnids).

Oh, I remember Them. Saw it when I was a little kid. Certainly not MST 3 K fodder.
Fanfiction I hate. How in the hell did this thread get this long without the Grand Daddy of horror movies (imho) The Exorcist???
It was an honorI recently saw The Mist. Best horror film of the past twenty years, by far.
A fistful of me.I recently watched the first Friday the 13th film, and I was amazed at how subtle and grounded it was compared to it's sequels. Think about it-one of the most ridiculous horror franchises ever began with a sad, angry woman trying to avenge her dead son.
I'm also a fan of the first Halloween film(as well as Season Of The Witch), and Cabin In The Woods.
"I am the lord of Purity, who tolerates no deviation." My first online storyDog Soldiers. You don't know what is really going on until near The end of the film and it still isn't a cop out.
I don't see a lot of scary movies. I think Paranoia Agent is the closest thing that counts...but god damn was it scary.
"Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy."
Ringu. those japanese-style horror movies really freak me out. especially how the protagonists act even after they "figure it out."
