Perhaps because its definition is not much to go on. There seem to be some examples listed on the works pages for Baywatch, Fading Hearts, Lex Talionis and Alan Wake, but I'm not sure they understand what, if anything, the trope is supposed to be about.

There's no reason for this to be example-less, and frankly, no reason for it to exist in its current form. "The protagonists discover something that allows them to solve the problem/mystery/case just before the end of the work" isn't a trope.
I've cutlisted it.
