Twisting New York City Cliches...

...while still emphasizing it's specialness and good points. Big Applesauce shows us that absolutely everything happens in New York City (or Tokyo). That's not really what I'm going for. I'm trying to have the characters love the city and show how special of a place it is.

What are some ways to do this without showing off the Big Applesauce trope?

Try to show scenes in little-known places.
