Justice League

Having read Miller's script, I honestly don't see why anyone would have liked it.

I'm assuming that people are curious what Mortal would look like with Miller's post-Fury Road sensibilities.

Tbh it sounds awesomely over the top.

Yeah, basically. I haven't so much as glanced at the Mortal script, but I have seen Fury Road multiple times for a reason!

The main reason I didn't care for the script is it comes across as yet another story where no one but Superman and Batman has agency. I did like Fury Road but the script as it was written just felt like a Superman and Batman movie that just happened to have other superheroes in it to be punching bags or extra bodies.

Having the read that script, I can say that's mostly correct, although the Flash is really the main character aside from Batman. He's the one who gets scenes actually detailing his personal life, he's the one who makes the big sacrifice that ends up saving the day, and is the only one aside from Bruce has anything resembling a supporting cast (Iris and Wally, that latter who ends up taking up his mantle afterwards).

Superman is probably the third most-important, followed by Wonder Woman. Aquaman and Green Lantern kind of get the shaft in that script.

Funny you say Superman has agency in it, since he has pretty limited screen time and spends a good chunk of it under mind control. I take more issue with them changing Maxwell Lord's killer from Wonder Woman to goddamn Batman.

It's worth noting that the script was likely nowhere near a final shooting draft. Miller was still pushing for rewrites when the strike happened and delayed production.

I'm still surprised they might have shafted John.

I mean he arguably has the loudest fandom of any of the individual GL's so you'd think they would get pandered too.

John has been getting the shaft for a long time. Arguably since he accidentally destroyed a planet.

Anyone ever heard of the Will Beall script? It was written along with MOS and seems eerily similar to Snyder's outline.

True its just due to the DCAU cartoons he does tend to be the character in outer-media who has a loud group of fans constantly calling for him to a large degree.

Beall got a story credit on the Snyder Cut, so that would suggest the synopsis floating around is largely true.

People have always loved to smear Snyder but I've only ever heard good things about him and his cast. He and Cavill are pretty close.

Snyder is a good boss and decent person whose movies aren't always well received. Whedon's a hypocritical jerk whose movies and TV shows have been well received. Though Snyder has also received flak for not doing more to call out his toxic fans.

Add to that joss recient work have being met with more and more critism lately.
