That's grounds to correct the Troper Tales, and perhaps strengthen the trope description ("this X requires the TEARS OF MANLY MEN"); definitively not grounds for rename of the trope.

Anyway, if we rename this, I would suggest something like Badass Tears.
I think it is intentionally used that way, invoking a form of comical Real Men Wear Pink machoism, like "It's not that I was crying like a baby, but even REAL MEN cry at the end of that film".
Troper Tales are not the trope, and even then, who isn't badass in their own story?

I've seen some examples (mainly on Troper Tales) about Manly Tears just being used by guys talking about times when they've cried, but the trope is spcifically about Badasses crying, not just guys in general.
"badass" doesn't anything in after used end fail be fine.
