How do they even plan to make that work?
"Yup. That tasted purple."I'm imagining it'll take the present circuits in a SIM and make it an internal circuit instead - although probably done in such a way that it can't be fried as readily as some other parts.
"Did you expect somebody else?"Android Central wrote a review of Google Now Launcher and I decided to try it. Lasted two days before I switched back to Nova Launcher. There's just too much functionality I lost in exchange for having Now cards a swipe to the left, which I could get with a 5x4 widget in Nova.
Fresh-eyed movie blogI'm mulling getting a replacement for the Apple EarPods that came with my iPhone, and there really doesn't seem to be much in the way left (at least in these parts) in terms of earphones that are not in-ear and come with a inline microphone.
I've looked at some Armageddon products due to them being rather easily available in local bookstores of all places, but reviews of them are sparse, and their parent company SonicGear is known for making hit-and-miss products. And I'm worried whether the 90 degree jack can fit in my phone socket courtesy of the lip my Magpul case has.

I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotI have Skullcandy Ink'd 2.0 earbuds. They work well, they're often on sale for ludicrously cheap prices, and since they can come in black, they're much less of a magnet for muggers who like the white Apple ones because they tell them who to beat the crap out of for their mobile phone/mp3 player. They don't have a ninety degree plug angle so they should fit your case.
Plus they also have an in-line microphone.

I have those too (in pink for whatever reason) and they keep falling out of my ears, even with the large buds fitted.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Might as well make your purchase worth it.
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over. These're cheap and have served me well for the last few months. Though it does have a right angle plug.

dead devotionAndroid M is now officially Marshmallow.
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over."Android M" sounds cooler.
Fresh-eyed movie blogI can't believe that my phone needs (estimated) 25 minutes of time for an update, during which the phone is unusable.
Talking about software updates, is anyone else dissatisfied with how Verizon treats them?
dead devotionWhen you have the best technical service, you can afford to have the worst customer service.
Fresh-eyed movie blogIn my experience they have been the last or penultimate carrier to roll out updates, consistently. It happened with Windows Phone 8.1 and it happened with Android 5.1. The former example is even more baffling to me because "supposedly" Microsoft has full control of how and when they roll out.
I mean I understand why it happens, but it's really off-putting.
dead devotionAlso you can't do as heavy of modding with a Verizon phone, because there isn't an open version of their radio drivers (meaning it stops being a phone and starts being an iTouch).
Though maybe that's changed.
Fresh-eyed movie blogApparently it's the same since the bootloader has been locked by Verizon for the S6.
dead devotionIt's because Verizon use CDMA which isn't much used elsewhere in the world, and the GSM version of it is used pretty much everywhere else.
South Korea is pretty much the sole user of CDMA other than Verizon and Sprint, and most networks which use it elsewhere only do so because it would be too expensive to go to GSM.

"Did you expect somebody else?"INDUSTRY STANDARDS EXIST FOR A REASON DAMMIT.
"Yup. That tasted purple."America. So special.
NTSC is the broadcast video standard in only America and Japan.

"Did you expect somebody else?"My brother has at least one US TV series on "Region 2 NTSC" DVD.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Actually, quite a number of countries in close relations to US use the NTSC.
I've only actually been able to transfer the SIM once in three phones. When my mom got hey second phone she decided it was too much phone for her and the one I had at the time was better for her, and I wanted hers too, so I just switched cards between them.
After that phone, I switched carriers, and then my next upgrade was incompatible in some way and I had to use the new card provided.
