I love Anais. She's gotta be my favourite in the family. Honestly, for some reason I feel like the baby voice was really iconic, too.
H.B. WardAfter watching preview...they sound younger? I think Gumball sounds like the first kid before his voice got noticeably deeper, while Darwin sounds older than the previous kid.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.So The Copycats was supposed to acknowledge the voice change and even transition from old to new V As in the episode.
Did a new episode come on tonight?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I'm finding no source for that claim.
No.
Ben confirmed it on r/Gumball in Reddit in The Ollie thread. Copy-pasting here because no spoilers.
"OH NO! I didn't realise they released this episode early! Shame... We'd done a little nod to the voice change in The Copycats... Sorry guys.
Damn, finding out about the voice actor changes that way probably would have been really funny.
Huh, didn't know he was active on the Gumball subreddit. Didn't think that place got a lot of activity.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? Not very active, he's made like four posts in the last year.
That's more active than I figured he'd be.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?So there are storyboards for an upcoming episode called The Matchmaker that were posted here. Which is likely to do with Darwin who is singing from emo music playing and Carrie.
Synopses and tentative schedule for the next couple episode. Show's supposed to be back on the week of February 13, with three episode that week and three or four on the next.
It includes "The Copycat", another episode about Richard's dad Frankie, and an episode where Gumball tries to learn magic from Hector's mom. Still no airdate for "The Ollie".

Copycats is the one featuring "Miracle star" right?
"We be we baby!"Yep and I saw the storyboards with it so we are going to see the whole Chinese counterpart family.
Also, the previews for the first five new episodes are out on the CN App.
how much you wanna bet China sues CN over this even though they copy-pasted the whole damn series?
"We be we baby!"China is not a single legal entity. If you mean the company that made the Miracle Star commercials (which is apparently state-owned), why would they care? Gumball doesn't air in China. Miracle Star commercials, and the product they advertise, are only marketed in China. That's exactly why Miracle Star got away with blatantly plagiarizing Gumball in the first place. There's no IP overlap in terms of official release.

China also don't have most social media sites because they're banned, and a few popular news sites and entertainment sites are banned too. So there is less of a chance that anyone living there have even heard of Gumball.
Does anyone know what sarcasm is anymore?
"We be we baby!"Sarcasm mode is a thing, you...know...
Use that...

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Too lazy.
"We be we baby!"Then exaggerate...it works most of the time.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Thanks to "The Vision", I found a clip of House of Cards to be unexpectedly hilarious. Is there a trope for that?
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencySo guys, I saw the synopsis for "The Matchmaker" airing in the future and it's a doozy...
Gumball enlists Carrie to help bring Darwin and Teri together, but when they can't make Darwin and Teri's love blossom naturally, they decide to make it happen supernaturally.

I'm surprised both that this didn't happen earlier (the first VAs lasted two seasons, though episode count isn't exactly proportional to real time involvement) and that we're finding out now—the first recastings for Darwin and Gumball were announced before their final recording, which was eight months before their last appearance was broadcast.
It feels weird for Gumball and Darwin to sound so young again—like even more than the first time. It makes the characters feel pretty different even if they're still acting the same. But Cantu and Hansley showed pretty good comedic timing/delivery, so I'm optimistic.
The biggest thing I'm worried about is voice cracking, especially from Hansley. Hopkins and Ransom were really good in that regard, whereas Grove and Boakye had noticeable rough spots. Considering the level of histrionics in this show, I'm wondering if I've been spoiled by preteen voices actors whose voices don't break like crazy.
Looking around, I found Cantu is playing Curly in the Hey Arnold Jungle Movie. If he can match some of those Evil Laughs Hopkins pulled off, I'd say that's some solid casting.
