How about Supergirl? I think it's reasonably common knowledge that Supergirl (or, at the very least, her male cousin) doesn't ordinarily have fiery wings.

I'll be honest. If I didn't know we were talking about wings, I wouldn't have noticed that they were wings. I'd have thought she was making a burning reentry or something.

Maybe we could use Choji from Naruto? When he eats special pills, it converts all his body fat into chakra which gives him butterfly shaped chakra wings because the amount of chakra is so great.

Maybe Shine Greymon from Digimon Savers and his Burst Mode? He has flaming wings and it'd be easy to find a picture showing the increase in power, particularally during the fight with Belphemon.

Choji's wings are not really this trope as they don't do anything. Is that a trope, symbolic wings?

If it turns out symbolic wings count I would like to suggest Kore
