(Jet appears)
"HEY GUYZ!"
(two more appear 10 seconds later)
"SUP BRO!"
And there goes a life-_-
Jeez Axel stinks. Well not really, SOR 2 Axel rapes Shiva but yeah he's not one of my favorites.

Agreed. I use Adam or Blaze, personally.
Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied.Just use someone like Ash or Shiva. They tend to have better luck.
I found the Jets a lot easier to handle after i realized the jumping attack does a lot more damage if you don't move while doing it.
No love Max?
Set the game's hit delay to S O R 3 style globally and Max becomes far and away the best character in the game. He clowns all over Abadede like he should. He clowns all over every boss that isn't Jet, his posse, and Shiva's sister, like he probably shouldn't. They even buffed him with an uninterruptible pile driver you can use with his meter when you're too surrounded to get his head crushing move to work.
You wanted two pairs of single quotes, not two double quotes.
Is Zan's electric dash as good as I think it is? I mean when used diagonally at level 2+.
Except [condescending response follows]. Because [sarcasm here]. You do understand [snark], right? POTHOLE TO SARCASM MODEYou haven't seen how nasty Roo can get at 3 stars then.
Problem is getting there...
Yesterday I was playing very hard with SOR 3 Blaze, and was doing well until I hit the beach level...lost 3 lives on the first segment, 2 of them to the freakin kickboxers alone.

Who's more annoying, the Joe Higashis or Mr OOOOORAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH?
I think I read somewhere that the makers were going to tone down a few enemies but after Sega killed the project, yeah....
As for Jet, sometimes I find that the best way to rack up damage is wait for him to rise up and then do a diagonal downward kick. He touches the ground for a brief moment after, from which you can combo him or grab him and smash. Just do not hurl him backwards for obvious reasons.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.SOR 2 Jet alone is easy, but 3 of them is a complete pain in the ass.
SOR 3 Jet is a tad challenging but nearly as much as he was in SOR 3.
Rocket alone is easy if you know how to fight him. When there's a bunch they're tougher but not as much as multiple SOR 2 Jets.
Hmmm I notice quite a few bosses are much easier compared to their old incarnations: SOR 1 Souther, Bongo bros, SOR 3 Mona/Lisa, R. Bear, SOR 3 Jet, and Robo X.
Then on the other hand, you have Mr. X and Abadede, who are much harder than their old selves(which is really something for the latter).
I don't really get why anyone would play as anyone but SOR 2 Blaze.
Abadede's the most annoying character by far. His countermove does way too much damage, seems to trigger randomly and is a real pain to dodge. That fight against the one on the elevator? Where he can corner you easily? Blargh.

Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied.I find him easier on the elevator.
Worst is 2 player with 2 Abadedes where you lose 2 many lives!
SOR 1 Bongo is piss easy now compared to the past. Its amazing.
Does anyone find the Blaze knock offs from the SOR 1 style easier in the remake or is it just me?
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order. No they're easier since you can run/movediagnally/have specials.
I can combo them right when they wake up.Its hilarious.
Though I do remember in the original that they'd fall for your back attack EVERY single time.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Tht too. It really depends
"FYI, ending 2 is a great place to grind for shop points if you need them. Just turn the difficulty to Mania, level jump to "Stage 8 - Bonus Room", collect all cash in the room, then let the timer run out to net a cool 18000 for about 3 minutes work."
Actually, you can defeat the enemies and re-enter the room when you find it for real. Everything respawns in there, and if you look at post 190 and look at which of the 6 maps has the bonus room, you can get cash quicker. If you pick the bomb room, just quit and restart from the bonus room again. I actually managed get over 50,000 pts using this trick.
Edit: Oh, I FINALLY beat Mania after taking a long break from the game. I used single Player Adam, and later Rudra. The path I took were the first three levels on the Streets of Rage 2 route and the last 5 being the SOR 1 route. The reason? You get the less annoying Demonic Spiders like the Kickboxers and jetpack guys.

Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied.Oh guys! Streets of Rage V5.0A has been released! Basically it's 5.0 with 100 bugfixes and somewhat nerfed difficulty on the lower levels. Abadede isn't as cheap as before(neo X is still retarded though).
thanks to the beat -em up thread for informing. Link
On another note, I started reading the {in)famous Saga fanfic which even got a hardbook publish and translated into Spanish. The first story was overall pretty solid actually, bar some dumb moments. I started the second one today which focuses on Blaze and...well let's just say it's pretty painful to read if you're a Blaze fan. Axel and Blaze doing it in the sewers while the story goes into great detail on how he's suckling and biting her nipples while she goes FUCK ME is about the point where I'm ready to put it down.

Kinda funny. I thought being unable to pick up food and money in SOR 1 weapon mode was actually a drawback, not a bug. There's virtually no drawbacks to that option, now.
I'll play around with it a little more otherwise and see what I like when I get more time.
Worse still with those Jets, fricking bastards,
