I mean there's still the issue of certain characters not being cast properly like Kotetsu, the dragon girl, etc.
In their case they can use Asian actors (though honestly I don't care either way.)
As for use of Brand Names, some (like Gundam) are unknown to the general Western audience but can be replaced with something else. (And Pepsi will probably exploit the hell out of it! )

I mean, it'd be pretty easy to use Asian actors for Asian characters, whereas guys like Barnaby, Antonio, etc. could easily be of other races
For a Japanese show it actually has surprisingly few Asian characters. Kotetsu and his family are Japanese, Pao Lin and her family are Chinese...and that's it as far as major Asian characters go. There's more Russian characters than Asian.
For a Hollywood movie they will actually get companies to pay them to include their logos in the movie.
Soo this is finally on Netflix. I've been watching it all day, it's awesome.
That said I do find Bunny to be a bit of a Jerkass and Tiger the more likable of the two, as well as pretty mistreated by the majority of the cast. He's IMO one of the most likable dudes on the show yet is the resident Butt-Monkey and it does make some of the others, particularly Barnaby look worse.
It sucks it took me this long to finally watch it though, as I find it really good so far. Honestly think it's better than One punch Man, even with its CGI(which really only becomes distracting with Fire Emblem's model but otherwise isn't too bad).
The english dub is good too, especially Lunatic who sounds amazing. Though admittedly I thought he reminded me of infinite from Sonic Forces and thought it was the same VA but apparently not?
Just finished the first 13 episodes.Gonna do the next season now.
No Lunatic and Infinite have the same VA, Liam O'Brien. And yes, he IS fantastic, as always.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)Did they really cut out the advertisement on Netflix?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Yeah which is a slight shame and makes the openings look slightly awkward.
Ah so it was him. Yeah lunatic's voicework is lovely. Steals every scene he's in.
But I just watched episode 16 and oh my god, this show just got DARK. Getting MHA memories from this... seeing Legend physically beating Lunatic's mom was pretty heavy, and the fact he tried to kill his son when he attempted to stop him made it even worse. And the mom hates Lunatic for it, poor guy.
Season 2 so far seems darker than S1..Also poor Sky High :[
I'm on episode 23 now. I might actually finish it in one day lol. But jeez why is Tiger getting done so wrong on this show?

Lunatic is antihero character done right in my opinion. A tragic but very real backstory, an day job that explains why he goes and kills the really nasty criminals, and a very clear moral code that seems to be pretty fair for a vigilante (kills anyone whom harms innocents in the worst ways).
^I have to agree with that assessment.
Finished the series! It's rare I finish an entire 2-season series in one day but I did it, and loved every minute of it. My heroes ranked from faves to least:
- Lunatic - user above covers why I love this guy, and his voicework is just soooo good, I could listen to him all day. He had the best backstory too and felt really threatening as well.
- Tiger- the most heroic character of the show by far, this guy is full of charm and one of the best anime dads. I did get annoyed at how everyone else treated him for much of the show though. Guy got way too much undeserved hate tossed his way. It's a shame him and Lunatic never met properly outside their hero egos so Kotetsu could learn the truth about Legend.
- Blue Rose: admittedly I like her powers and design(her costume might be my favorite of them all) more than her actual character because she's kind of bratty and her development arc wasn't all that great. Also her crush on Tiger is weird. Her and Emblem are about the same level.
- Fire Emblem - he's stereotypical(not to offensive levels save for his ass groping towards Bison) but has some of the funniest dialogue too and is kind of cool in his own bizarre way. He's got more personality than some of the other heroes too and probably one of the nicer people to Tiger. Usually he'd get typecasted as a bad guy in most anime but he's actually a good guy and one of the more admirable ones.
- sky High: he's a dork for sure and is kind of bland outside his hero persona but I do love his heroics in battle. He has some of the coolest attacks for sure.
- Origami Ninja - I didn't like him much until his focus episode and towards the end of season 1 where he actually started being useful. However his little ninja star moves and weebiness is pretty funny. He does have a cool power too.
- Rock Bison - the resident big guy of the team, he's mainly a jobber and didn't get enough focus but I do like how he's implied to be Tiger's buddy, although TBH this seems more informed than actually shown as he doesn't treat Tiger much better than anyone else. I think I just like his costume mainly lol.
- Dragon Kid: she's cool but she felt like she got the least amount of focus in the cast next to Bison. She's kind of just background character most of the time to me.
- Barnaby- considering he's the co-star and all the focus he has, you'd think Bunny would be a bit more likable but no way, this guy is actually a pretty big jerk for a good amount of the show. He seemed unnecessarily mean towards Tiger at times where the guy simply did not deserve it and generally comes off as a man-bitch. The worst part is that due to his rep in-universe he gets away with acting like a jerkass and tiger bears the brunt of it. I don't hate barnaby but I find him easily the most offputting personality wise among the cast and him being such a focus on the show makes it worse. He does bounce of tiger well enough but he's definitely my least favorite of the heroes.
Season 2 ITS HAPPENING!
Mileena Madnesswait
WHAT
I mean, OKAY I'LL TAKE IT
something something that "you are safe now my child" meme
my mind is currently incohrently screaming now
I wonder if they'll ever explain the implied connection between Double Decker and Tiger and Bunny in S2, with even inseries Original brands showing up in Double Decker and the uncanny connection story of the Goddess to the people living on a [REDACTED] in Double Decker.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession....I need to rewatch everything because it's been ages since I've actually like thought seriously about the story.
...really now.
Guess I need to rewatch Season 1. How many years has it been...
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!...really now.
Guess I need to rewatch Season 1. How many years has it been... yeah same. I vaguely recall thinking it was a story that didn't need continuation.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!The second movie was a continuation. The new owner of the company was corrupt and his assistant was the son of a man he lead to destitution and the man killed himself if I recall right.
Also the manga is still ongoing too I think. Or at least its went on for a good while.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Still so long until then.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I hope the second season doesn't require knowledge of the movies. I still haven't seen them and don't expect to anytime soon. I'll probably finish Double Decker eventually.
The first one was just an alternate retelling of Kotetsu and Barnaby connecting with a movie villain.
The second one took place after the first season.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.A second season huh, guess I'll get down to re-watching and finishing the show, I remember seeing it on my big brother's laptop and falling for Kotetsu while thinking Barnaby was kind of ugly and unpleasant.
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysInfo on second season. It’s a Netflix series.
‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’Doesn't that mean no gaudy promo stickers? My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

It also avoids the challenge of anime distributors not being able to afford getting the rights to show the product logos on the supersuits, because Hollywood CAN afford them!
