Seems to have the same basic combat style as Xenoblade so far. I wonder how the inclusion of those vehicles we've seen will shake things up.
I just hope we find out how it's a Xenoblade sequel with earth humans instead of Bionis Homs.
The way the trailer went, it almost seemed like people from Earth were ousted from their home planet, and are aiming to find a new home, and Xenoblade's world is now the target of their forces. It seemed the incoming humans were trying to eradicate the life on the new world to make way for themselves, and the main character and his group opposed this or something. Just my interpretation.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia! The problem is that Xenoblade eventually reveals that the Xenoblade world was created after the destruction of Earth, and in fact, replaced Earth.
Not Three Laws compliant.Maybe the new Xenoblade world Shulk made possible was named Earth? The way I see it, this might be a distant sequel that takes place in this rebuilt world.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."An Earth that has the United States with the exact same flag as our world? I think that's a bit of a stretch. This is probably either entirely unrelated or the world that existed before Klaus fucked things up.
Oh, I didn't see that. That complicates things, especially with Nopon hanging around.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."It can't be before Klaus did his stuff, as he's the one who created the Nopon.

It might just be something like the moogles and chocobos of Final Fantasy: recurring species in otherwise unrelated worlds.
Welcome to th:|I hope the High Entia return.
And Jenna Coleman.
Elbruno:You can see a ship in either the trailer or demo that had the US flag on it. It might have been during the demo so it's perfectly possible to miss it if you weren't watching at the time.
Beorc: Since the world of Xenoblade had Homs based on humans it's possible that the Nopon were based on an alien species that existed in the original universe.

But how would Klaus know about them?
Maybe he's part of the exploration team or he hears reports about them? We don't know enough about the status of Earth at the time of him messing things up. It could be long after this game and some of the Nopon things have migrated to Earth.
I guess.
Do you guys think we'll see another Monado? It is the titular Xenoblade after all, right? Plus, what with there being two in the first game (Three if you count Shulks), I figure another wouldn't be too much of a stretch.
One of the characters in Xenoblade Chroicles X has a Monado pin in her hair.
I forgot her name it starts with an E.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureReally, Elma has that? Interesting. She doesn't look much like Meyneth though so it's not her.
Now that I think about it I think they said this game was a Spiritual Successor rather than a direct sequel anyway. Any connection between this game and others is going to be incredibly subtle at the most.
I saw the Monado pin in Elma's hair in one image. I can't post a link because I'm posting with the Wii U.
Edit* I just found the image◊ it isn't Elma it is somebody else.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI dunno, with all the plot thread potential that the original game left, I wouldn't put this being a sort-of-sequel-prequel-thing out of the question.
What made me think that this could be a distant sequel is the fact that they say something along the lines of "We don't want this tragedy to repeat". I immediately thought Klaus f-ing things up or Zanza purging the world when I heard that.

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."I am infinitely more interested in this game now I that I know that you can customize the playable character. :D
Here's Nintendo's X coverage from the first day.

One of those mountains looks like Terra Tower from Chrono Cross.
"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"I think I just bought the last copy of Xenoblade in the state of Kansas. Only cost $45. I guess Friday the 13th really is my lucky day.
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyChuggaaconroy is playing Xenoblade next. He's also giving away thirty copies of Xenoblade if anyone wants one.
Nice. I don't know about getting it, even with his contest, but I do know I was thinking of checking out a Let's Play of Xeno Blade Chronicles to get ready for Xeno Blade Chronicles X despite knowing that the latter is only a Spiritual Succesor to the former.
I figured why the hell not.
One Strip! One Strip!
looking cool so far
