Xenoblade Chronicles

My copy arrived today! After spending 20 minutes taking care of technical issues, and spending 30 more staring at that amazing title screen, I've finally gotten around to playing. I've been spending the past couple of hours just exploring Colony 9. This game's scope is HUUUUUGE. And I've already got a ton of quests to do. @_@

Do them right now. You don't want to end up with a backlog like I did.

So I'm studying abroad in the UK, ostensibly for my degree.

REAL OBJECTIVE: Obtain EU copy of Xenoblade Chronicles. Mwahahaha.

(For those who have gotten it to work on their US Wiis, is there any particular homebrew I have to install, or can I use the USB Loader Gx?)

Unique monsters - do they respawn? If so, how often? Spent part of yesterday looking for Evil Rhangrot and it wasn't where it should be.

Hot damn, just reached Gaur Plains. Holy mother of fuck, FF XII's environments and music can go and fuck a duck compared to this. Blows away everything the PS 2 was capable of.

I've been sitting here for the past 20 minutes or so, just listening to the music, and staring at the scenery/wildlife. It feels so... real. :O

At least this game has a good length, unlike what Square Enix put out.

Wow... This game sounds pretty good from what I've heard. Sounds like Europe is enjoying it.

so uh, I have no idea what the normal UK video game stores are. Can one of you UK-ers tell me? Or should I just use Amazon?

Gamestation and GAME I think... as well as Gamestop (probably). I think you should give the online versions a shot though, as it's not easy to get.

A beta map they weren't able to finish. This appeared in all of one cutscene, although it also belonged to the initial bunch of screenshots released. This is also known as the "Land of the Giants". Dickson and his master originated from this place.

It annoys me that my favorite youtube user (omegaevolution ) doesn't make playthroughs of Xenoblade. Ok, so Tales Of Xillia is coming out soon, and they didn't release Xenoblade in the US, but you're in Chile! That shouldn't matter to you! Its a crime when you only have 2 games scheduled to play (even if they're Skyward Sword and Xillia)!

If only I could still login to youtube I'd talk to him, but ever since that google fiasco I'm staying far away.

edit: I remember now, he did the Arc Rise Fantasia playthrough where all the videos starts up with some title screen with some Street Fighter character in it....and the RE 4 playthrough.

First you claim its selling well, now you are claiming it doesn't? .-.

Well, it made the #8 on the top ten in European sales, but it hasn't really been selling much since then.

So far it's only sold about 210,000 copies. That really isn't that much.

Still, if the game manages to sell 500,000 copies by the end of the year, it would probably make a big difference in Nintendo's decision.

So, is this game uncut?, unlike the others Xeno-series?

I dunno, just from what I've seen and heard about both Xenoblade and Xenosaga, it seems to me that unlike those, this doesn't really have anything that would warrant cutting.

Well, somebody spits blood in one cutscene, it's only brief though. Of course, I haven't finished the game, so I haven't seen everything yet.

Yeah, it's pretty tame overall. No need for cutting.
