Hanna is one sick movie. I love badass, amoral little girls and fairytale motifs. This is Grimm done right, not like the recent Beastly or Red Riding Hood. I also appreciated the Les Yay elements, and the Scenery Porn of Europe. Saoirse Ronan has is a very talented actress, imho, and she was the best part of Atonement. It reminded me a little bit of Hard Candy, minus the psycho Ellen Page.
I like my coffee black just like my metal.I rather enjoyed it. I did feel like I was being clobbered the SYMBOLISM~!~!~!~!~! every now and then, but the acting was great and it was well paced. Great soundtrack from The Chemical Brothers too. Might need to track that down, actually.

Like Shakespeare, but with more punchingGoing to the flicks, this or Captain America?
hashtagsarestupidI don't know, haven't seen the latter, but Hanna won't disappoint.
What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war.Ended up seen caps, thanks for the reply through
hashtagsarestupidJust saw it today, great, great film. I got the soundtrack as well, which is also amazing.
Had it been given a more satisfying ending and final battle, this would have been a masterpiece. I loved it, but it ended abruptly at the killing blow like a grindhouse film.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.What the fuck am I watching... This is genius.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Excellent film.
That is all.
Finally got around to seeing it.
I absolutely loved the first half of the film where she is being trained in the Arctic circle to be a killing machine but the film kind of goes down hill after that. If she broke out of a CIA compound filled with armed guards how the hell is a hand full of skinheads supposed to be a threat?
All in all I liked Hanna a lot but it could of done with more story focus and less showy camera angles

hashtagsarestupidAny sign of a sequel yet?
None I heard
hashtagsarestupidBummer. The original film sounds intriguing though. What annoys me is stuff I don't like gets sequels and stuff I do like gets cancelled or no sequels, depending on format.
Ah well.
I loved this movie—but I have one question.
What was up with Cate Blanchett's character brushing her teeth? It's been a while since I saw the movie but I don't recall this being expounded upon.
You need an adult. My read on it is that she's so tightly buttoned-up, trying to be the alpha predator among wolves, that she's going OCD with her personal hygiene. Or, more classical allusion, "Out, out, damned spot!".
I liked it too, awkward girl kiss and all.
WMG number two seems disturbingly plausible.[1]

hashtagsarestupidYeah, that girl kiss made me a wee bit uncomfortable. The odd, flesh colored erotic lighting, and the fact that they're both pretty damn young. I'm like "Director, what the fug are you doing?"

ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I honestly wasn't all the uncomfortable with the scene, but they did an excellent job of making both of the actresses look awkward doing it. Whassername, the bratty girl, was doing it because she was curious (and probably because she thought it potentially trendy) and Hanna was doing it because her friend wanted it and she liked the idea of having a friend.
i loved it. usually I don't like action movies but the combo of the really beautiful cinematography and offbeat sense of humor and having a really cool badass female protagonist and antagonist made me basically go into *_* mode the entire time
