The trope as-written is, "To solve overpopulation, a government limits heterosexual sex while encouraging homosexuality." My impression is that it's Too Rare To Trope...I'm not sure that there are going to be enough examples. (At least, I don't think I've ever seen any.) I'm also not sure whether all of that is part of the definition or if it's just an Example as a Thesis that never gets to the actual definition.

Damn, this is actually a pretty interesting trope idea, but it's way too rare for my liking. The three examples listed work well, but I haven't heard of anymore than that.

Is there a trope about a ban on any kind of sex? When I first started reading the description I thought of the play Beirut. In that universe there is a ban on all sex because of an AIDS like plague. But it doesn't fit.
And in the play Once Upon A Mattress there is an implied ban on sex that causes Lady Larkin and Sirt Harry some problems but that doesn't really fit either.
If there is no YKTTW history, how about taking the trope to there?

It's got six examples now. I just added this trope to the Sex Tropes and Gender and Sexuality Tropes indexes, so hopefully it'll get a bit more love. How about a lock?
