Well, you probably don't really want Kim Jong-Il to run for the Presidency of the US in 2012, and because you basically used a variation of the Hitler card, you were assumed to be trolling.

Godwin's Law is about invoking Hitler when there's no good reason to do so, right? Well, you did exactly that, except you invoked another horrible dictator. The effect is the same, whether you mention Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Kim Jong-Il or Mussolini.
Unless you can give a good reason for mentioning a dictator in the context, in which case it wasn't Godwin.
