I doubt it's Shattered Dimensions 2 - that's sort of an idea that works best without repetition - but if it is can we please get Spiderman 2211? Or at least Hobgoblin 2211?

Shattered Dimensions was mind numbingly repetitive. ._.

Estimated shipping time: 2-4 weeks.

I just hope it doesn't involve the symbiote. God, I'm tired of that thing.

Things that a sequel could use.

1. James Dooley doing the soundtrack again.

He did an AMAZING job, pun unintended.

2. Re-cast of the Spider-Men voice actors and Stan Lee.

Aside from Amazing sounding younger than Ultimate at some points, I felt all of the voice actors did a great job. Steve Blum could also return if they throw Vulture 2099 into the game since he did his voice in the DS version.

3. A story that brings together the four universes for one story rather than having four separate stories that end up combining in the end.

Maybe the trouble could start in the Ultimate Universe. Dr. Strange’s magic going awry during Ultimatum ends up affecting the dimensional rift.

4. Side-missions/Interaction with New Yorkers.

I’d like to see a hub New York for each dimension that allows you to complete tasks on the side (stopping robbers, fighting other Spidey villains, putting out fires, etc.). At the very least, I’d like to be able to see each Spider-Man interact with the people of their time. Amazing would be liked by most of the public, Noir would be a somewhat controversial but respectable figure, 2099 would be considered a “God” by the people like the Thorites, and Ultimate would be widely hailed as a hero.

5. Noir being able to fight decently outside of fixed battles.

It’s not as effective as the takedown maneuvers, but it still can work. Just because he’s a stealthy character doesn’t mean he’s weak; he IS still Spider-Man, and Spider-Man has more strength than your average goon.

6. Partner characters on a few stages.

Ben Reilly for Amazing.

Felicia Hardy for Noir {even though she doesn’t seem to like him at the end of E.W.A.F, she does give him a hint to the Goblin’s crime ring at the beginning of the Hammerhead stage}.

Flipside or Leila (his computer?) for 2099 {I’m not really up to date with 2099 comics}.

Jessica Drew, Iceman, Human Torch, Firestar, or Kitty Pryde for Ultimate. I’d prefer Jessica though. I’m flexible about this one though. I can understand that it might not be feasible.

7. Improved wall-crawling capabilities. Seemed like the wall-crawling had a few glitches at certain points.

8. The “strongest” costume (i.e.: Cosmic Force, Phoenix Force, etc.) fits into the end of the story.

I was somewhat disappointed that the Cosmic Force suit didn’t tie into the To Oa C story. I find it slightly hard to believe that all the Spider-Men can beat someone with god-like powers even if it is a washed up Hollywood star. Granted, they did beat several villains who had amazing powers, but they had favorable circumstances (Electro at the water dam, Sandman’s stage having water barrels around the mining town) or glaring weaknesses (Goblin’s glowing spine; Doc. Ock using up a lot of energy and leaving herself defenseless at times). Furthermore, each villain only had a piece of the fragment, and not full “godhood”.

9. More interaction between the Spider-Men. This has so much potential that it needs to happen. I can imagine a funny scene near the end of the game where each of them introduce themselves as Peter Parker except for 2099 who awkwardly introduces himself as Miguel O’Hara. And just imagine Jameson’s reaction to seeing the four of them together.

10. An evil or corrupted Spider-Man as the main villain, similar to how Spider-Carnage was the final enemy in Spider-Man: The Animated Series. If not that, then the Green Goblin (Amazing Version) as the main villain. Each of the Spider-Men have fought a Green Goblin, so he could pose as a thorn in each of their sides.

11. Four villains for each hero rather than three. Nothing wrong with a lengthier game, so long as it doesn’t drag on.

12. I know this is a given, but new villains for the heroes to fight. Off the top of my head here are some that could be interesting:

Amazing: Hydro-Man, Lizard, Molten Man

Ultimate: Rhino, Elektra, Hulk

2099: Venom, Vulture (I know Vulture was in the DS game, but he’s 2099’s archnemesis)

Noir: Chameleon (illusion-oriented fight, Hall of Mirrors?), Kingpin (takes the place of Crime Master; he has no powers already, so he’d fit in well in the Noir universe)

I’d like to see some version of the Shocker too. If it’s Ultimate Shocker though, I’d like to see him pose some threat before reverting into a joke character.

13. Spider-Man Unlimited costume. I know it’s from a television show, but it’s just so cool!

14. Have Ultimate Spider-Man in the red and blue costume while Amazing is in the Iron-Spider outfit. This would prevent the symbiote from being tossed onto Ultimate again while allowing Amazing to have a new movepool in order to show differences between the two.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time.

It's only classic Spidey and Spider-Man 2099, but the hook is that everything you do in one period affects the other.

... Okay, I can understand changing 2099's timeline through playing as Amazing, but how would it work the other way around?

Well, I'm sure you'll have instances when Spidey will be investigating the past to see what happened, and what you discover and choose to investigate dictates what happened in the past.

2211 Cameo? Come on, it's got time travel right in the premise!

Peter David is penning it. I'm sure he's mostly interested in his own creations, and 2099 is his baby.
