Consistency has always been a problem with the quality in this show. There are times where the show worked as a pretty good show to enjoy (season one finale, a lot of season 2, the Spider-verse arc, Contest of Champions, those recent two episodes). Other times the show provided episodes that just sucks (a lot of season one, that one Halloween episode, the one with Anti-Venom, etc). But as far as it goes, I wouldn't say it's a terrible show as it does showcase moments of good Writting and engaging situations that makes me want to invest in the conflict.

Plus the target audience seems to enjoy the show; and unlike a certain show, it actually have episodes to back it up.

Not a big fan of the Spiderverse, C.o.C, or the last two episodes.

Like The Batman, it wildly fluctuates back and forth, up and down in quality. Some episodes are great, some are awful, the whole thing is very uneven. Still heads and shoulders above Assemble or SMASH (I haven't watched the Guardians animated series yet).

Yeah, as great as the premise was for Spider-Verse, the execution fell flat hard, particularly by the conclusion.

[up][up][up] Yeah, I was just speaking out from my own opinions on the show. I enjoy those episodes.

[up][up] Guardians is actually really good. In fact, out of all the other Marvel shows just like this, it is best out of the four.

[up] Agree. Premise was interesting and actually a good idea but really fell flat at the end. I say the part with Spider-Man 2099 and Spider-Girl could of been better (the latter could of been Peter's daughter in the future and the former for, well, anything related to 2099). But I do like the parts with Spider-Ham, Noir, and Mile Morales, those actually worked in its execution.

Honestly, I won't try to take that away from the show, it DID have good episodes and part from the start. Their Doctor Octopus, their Rhino, Kraven's introduction episode (and the Character Development Ava got in it), were all parts I found genuinely good. Problem is, these were almost always shoehorned in-between things like Loki turning Spider-Man into a pig, Electro's horrible first episode, the lame cutaway gags, Spider-Man's teammates acting like unlikable jackasses and Fury acting like a petty Control Freak while still alledgebly in the right. Each time i was hoping the show would improve, I was struck with one of the above the very next episode. And there were only so many stupid I could take before giving up.

Also, true story: I have a friend who didn't like Spider-Man because his first real experience with the character was with this series. I directed him to Spectacular Spider-Man.

Yeah let's be real, for one good thing they do right, they have seven bad excuses for comedy that undermine it. Just because it's not mediocre all the time doesn't do much for the overall quality. The things it does right are things we shouldn't praise but come to expect from western animation nowadays like coherent characterization, likable characters, continuity that's not aggressively rammed down your throats and treating the audience like they have the attention span of goldfish, and morals that aren't contradicted by the very premise.

Spectacular wasn't perfect, but I consider it a better show not because it didn't have flaws, but that it did much more right than it did wrong.

[up]Ah, so they realized they had screwed up by burning Carnage. I don't know if I should be happy that they are trying to fix their mistake, or dismayed by whatever flimsy excuse they will use to bring him back.

[up] I think her book is terrible, from the artwork down to the writing, there's not one likeable character in it, I only like her in Web Warriors, and everybody seems to hate that book because the writer is in love with her too much.

There is a comic actually titled Web Warriors?

[up]Yep, not based on the cartoon though, it's a spin-off of the Spider-Verse event that ran in the Spidey comics from 2014-2015. It's about a team of alternate reality Spiders trying to preserve the web of life. It features 616's Spider-Girl Arana, who took over as leader after the first storyline, but the writer, Mike Costa, favours Spider-Gwen a LOT in the book and plays favourites with her.

The book is the poorest selling of all the Spider-Man titles at the moment, and will be coming to an end in September, but it is the only book where I find Gwen likeable.

So the Carnage arc still has one episode left and it seems they are ignoring that carnage was around before, unless I missed them talking about it

Ultimate Spider-Man ignoring continuity? Now that's a shock.

For them to have Spider Gwen be a part of this show, they would have to have Gwen exist in this show. And as far as I know, she hasn't appeared or even been mentioned. And considering how poorly handled MJ is in this show, I don't know if I'd like to see how Gwen Stacey would be like here.

[up]Yeah, pretty much. Especially since Man of Action seems pretty uncomfortable when dealing with romance. I mean, seriously, their best-known work has a main character who has stronger chemistry with his cousin than he does with his future wife.
