#1: Walter Peck from Ghostbusters:

Who He Is: The overly officious EPA man who ordered the shutdown of the Ghostbusters' Containment Unit, releasing all the ghosts incarcerated therein and damned nearly starting an Ecto Apocalypse.

Why He Should Be Fired: For someone who works for the Environmental Protection Agency, he doesn't seem to understand the concept of environmental protection. For starters, anytime you're dealing with a piece of equipment with the word "Containment" in its name, it stands to reason it was made to keep something contained, more often than not something potentially hazardous. Peck pulling the plug on the Containment Unit was as monumentally irresponsible as if he'd taken out a crowbar, pried the lid off a full drum of toxic waste, and dumped it out all over the ground, only in this case with infinitely more catastrophic consequences. Even worse, it's made clear he did it just to get back at Dr. Peter Venkman for how he was treated at their previous encounter. Gee Wally, petty much? Bottom-line, if anyone working for the EPA in real life had caused the kind of debacle Peck did, the head of his department would demand his resignation before you could say "Stay-Puffed Marshmallow Man".
