So I'm into my second Sybreed album now, the debut Slave Design. Overall it's quite weaker than its follow up Antares, but then there's songs like this:
God. DAMN. That ending.
Also while being an "industrial" metal band, at least they treat electronic elements as an integral part of their sound rather than bells and whistles. And I haven't encountered four to the floor hard bass drum sections anywhere in their music yet. Win.

That's the only Sybreed song I'd heard before, but it sure is a corker.
Because I choose to.Bioactive, huh... I personally like the old (much different) version better.
New Meshuggah is absolutely fucking boss.
Weeping with joy I am.

No regret shall pass over the threshold!Yeah, this album is gonna be pretty sweet I reckon.
Because I choose to.A friend of a friend is the drummer for this band, and I have to say I rather like this track.
Periphery II full album stream.
I'm serious.

No regret shall pass over the threshold!Yeah the new Periphery is incredible. Spencer's gotten way better (especially on the old growlin' front) and the material is more diverse and interesting. I especially love the ambient stuff Jake Bowen did for this album, as well as his solo on Luck As A Constant which is just gorgeous.
Because I choose to.Well, Epoch might as well be my favorite interlude track ever
No regret shall pass over the threshold!Okay, I've seen a few pages on this site describe Nevermore as "djent". I've never heard them described as such anywhere else before (got-djent.com doesn't list them for example). I'm not a fan of djent or Nevermore, but I'm still interested to know whether they belong with the scene or not.
For we shall slay evil with logic...They don't seem to have enough stop-start to fall into the category.
Only Death Is RealAlright, I finally got me the Senjyu CD from Cyclamen. I also have eyes for Ashura, but I'm taking a break from all the CD buying I've been doing. It took me 3 years to get this, but I got there in the end. I keep worrying it'll be over before I know it, but I don't think that'll be the case. Don't like how little attention Hellrise got through.
Also, I have no idea if this counts, but anyone listen to Stealing Axion? I listened to Moments yesterday and it was as great as ever. They're nearly finished with their second album although I think their funding thing on Gofundme is still up. I can't wait for it.
MY DANCE MACHINE STARTS TO REACT
Woah. Colour me excited.
