Talking to my parents, dead week used to be the quiet before the storm — the profs weren't allowed to make anything due that week, so students could study for finals.

This past dead week, I had to complete four projects and take two final exams while the previous week the profs tried to cram two weeks of material into one to make room for it. The actual finals week only has one test left and I'm basically sitting on my thumbs.

WTF?

I would think that's actually pretty awesome.

Well, the week after. But yeah, the Project Singularity is not a fun place.
