The opening speech is about the birth of Ainurs, the Songs, the Vision, and the rise of Elves and Humans.
The another terrifying birth that took place is of Melkor himself.
"And thus began the birth a race within the race humanity, a race which bears no prejudice, no judgement, but boundless freedom." This refers to rise of the Second Children of Iluvatar.
The "How I can protect something so perfect without evil?" is not about protecting without using evil, but protecting something that lack evil, i.e Elves.
"It doesn't matter if you love him, or capital H-I-M" is Elves' choice of worshipping either Manwe or Orome. Worshipping Varda is considered worshipping Manwe since they're spouses.
These are my infant opinions. Any critics?
