Why exactly is this in YMMV? It makes no sense to me.

It's an Audience Reaction.

Not sure why it's on both indexes, though. Seems like it should just be on Audience Reactions.

How can this be an Audience Reaction when it has been shown to occur in real life?

That's exactly why it's Audience Reaction - it happens because people watch these shows and get Ideas.

Wait, though, didn't we change this to be in-universe only?

It doesn't have examples, so...clearly we did not. [up]

I bet this was classified as Fanspeak before that banner was discontinued.

[up][up][up] Audience reactions don't have to be subjective.

Well this subject has been dealt with on CSI, Law And Order and other cop shows who expect this trope so I don't know why it doesn't have In-universe examples and labeled as a normal trope.

I don't see how this could be YMMV or Subjective (and labeling any random thing as such is getting on my nerves). This trope has a very precise definition, based on an already existing and documented phenomenon, and it either happens or doesn't happen, in real-life or otherwise. Speaking of which I don't see why this should be kept to non-in-Real-Life examples.

I don't see how it's Subjective either, but it is clearly an Audience Reaction. I'll take it off the YMMV index and leave it on Audience Reactions.

Isn't that index the only one that marks tropes as red, so we know they don't go on main pages (unless stated in the show)?

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.
