Doesn't really show it visually in those two stills.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickAlso not a clear example of the trope. That's more Interspecies Romance.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickThe Opposites Attract trope or the Pink Boy, Blue Girl subtrope?
... bumping this because the thread seemed to have falled behind.
Anyway I'm tentatively guessing INUH was referring to the former, but for what it's worth I think its benefit to each is that it shows a girl in some blue action suit (it's called the "zero suit" but I'm not sure what the name is of the KIND of suit it is) kissing a guy with angel wings. That's easily Pink Boy, Blue Girl, (the latter half almost literally!) but I would have thought showing that level of contrast would be fitting to the Opposites Attract as well. If not, how DO you demonstrate it exactly?

We have an entire page of examples, so clearly a screenshot of at least one of them should be decent enough.
Showing the trope is far more important than simply being an example.

Fight smart, not fair. Not crazy about any of those, but if we could get a pic of a dog and a cat sleeping or playing together, that might work.
I don't like the dog and cat images. They aren't really opposites.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickConsidering the old stereotype of dogs and cats being mortal enemies, I'd say either of those would work fine.
Enemies isn't the same as opposites. Cats and dogs are Star-Crossed Lovers, and Interspecies Romance. Not this trope.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI think it's simple enough that a cats-dogs thing wouldn't confuse anyone. We don't need to look too deep into this.
I fail to see why getting into Interspecies Romance is necessary here, especially if my Samus X Pit example from earlier on is not good enough.
How are Samus and Pit opposites?
Fight smart, not fair. What about Criminy (meek, nerdy bookworm) and Fuschia (hot succubus) from Sinfest?
Added the first best color strip that had the two of them together that I could find.

Someone suggested a punk and a girl next door◊ earlier. I like that one best.
Well, so far.

The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman. The image is a hotlinked one....not showing....
And not quite a fan of the punk and girl next door.
I dunno. I see the extreme with the punk, but I don't see too much "Opposite" from the girl. (maybe I'm picky and dumb >.<) But I get the feeling she should be....girlier looking. Please smack me if I'm wrong in this thought process.
This is Mimi-don't let her cuteness fool you-she's got spunk.
