Where there's life, there's hope. It's the date they burned their house and left on their journey. You know, the one in the pocket watch?

This song needs more love.Oh.
I thought you meant, like, an actual real-world date. Such as the anniversary of Brotherhood's first broadcast date or the manga's first chapter being published. Something like that.
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundWell, October 3 is also when Crunchyroll started streaming FMAB.
Where there's life, there's hope.Man I love FMA. Need to reread it one of these days. Of all the shonen I've read, this one got damn near everything right.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."You keep saying that, but I fail to see what you mean by it.
I assume he means it did right everything he was looking for. As to what those specifics things were...
It occurs to me that as far as gimmicks go, the Elric Brothers' was pretty tame by shonen standards, and not even unique to them. And we know there are various forms of specialized or gimmicky alchemy so that makes that fact stand out more.
Not saying it's good or bad, just something I randomly started thinking about.

It just means I walked away completely satisfied.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."- Pretty character designs
- Excellent balance between humor and drama
- Which helps a lot making Edward endearing instead of insufferable (isn't it, Eren Jaeger?)
- Incredible character writing that is not limited to the main ones
- A truckload of awesome and non-objectified female characters
- A story that knows when to end...
- ...and whose scale grows very consistently
- Antagonists with absurd charisma (Scar, Bradley, Kimblee, Envy...)
- A world that feels whole
- "Ed...ward..."
- "I think I'll begin by burning out your tongue"
- "Commodore, did you know that half the commanders on a battlefield are killed by their subordinates?"
- "Do they really expect me to make a complete mockery of myself by entering through the back door of my own Palace?"
- ...and many other moments really
Happy October 3rd!
Where there's life, there's hope.I still like the 2003 anime........
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."I wish they had a manga version of the 2003 anime. Sometimes I want to read FMA instead of watch it, but then I remember that it's not the version of FMA I like. The manga was good but it's no 2003.
and I really don't understand the need to make this some sort of competition or reaffirm this "there are some people who like this version better!" thing people have with this series. It just comes off as needlessly insecure.

.
I like both, and watch both, for different reasons. Some things 2003 does I like better than what Brotherhood does, and vice-versa. If you enjoy one and not the other, enjoy what you enjoy and just forget the other. It isn't worth making yourself salty over it.

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyThat's my point. There's not need to be dickish about it or upset that others happen to like one more than the other. And that crops up often when discussing the first anime in comparison to the manga/second anime.
But they are not doing that. One is expressing their like for 2003, and the other is complaining about the lack of 2003 manga.
Where there's life, there's hope.Yeah, yeah they kind of were. The first one was definitely insecure. The second comment actually comes off as a bit contradictory.
And note, I'm not just talking about 2003 anime fans. The obnoxious superiority seems more from fans of the manga, I've found (though if you look in this thread it's not hard to find obnoxious, and even antagonistic tones from fans of both).

Weren't there a few episodes based on the first light novel?
The faux Elric Brothers are from the novels.

Where there's life, there's hope.Really?
I thought those dudes were anime only. Didn't know they came from Light Novels.
Cool.
One Strip! One Strip!I don't understand the fandom war either. I think the manga is an above average manga. I just don't like it half as much as the 2003 adaptation and wish there was more media based on the 2003 version of FMA.The manga is still a good manga.
I don't really understand why there would be frankly. As far as I'm aware manga don't usually get created because of anime, especially when the anime only exists because of an existing manga, but then got too far ahead of it.
Besides, it sounds like both the first anime an the original reached natural conclusions (or at least did with the movie, I guess). When stories reach an end point they should, well, end.

Pichu wants a manga retelling of 2003, not a sequel of it.
As far as I know a good portion of 2003 fans are not manga readers, so demand for the manga version is low.

When Ed and Al tried to bring back their mom I believe.
