Good point, though just saying that the redirect exists might be better. Something like:
" Anime/MagicalGirlLyricalNanoha redirects to this page. Main/MagicalGirlLyricalNanoha redirects to the general Lyrical Nanoha franchise page."

I just thought of another option. If we're going to have two pages with the same display titles anyway, why not just use the custom title swap to erase the "original" from the wiki word. It would still need a note to instruct people on how to link it properly, but at least it will be one page less and won't require any fancy formatting.

Regulated fun - the best kind! I don't make the rules, just enforce them with an iron fist.Hmm... I don't know. Feels somewhat needlessly complicated and it might get accidentally "fixed" in the future due to being mistaken for a ptitle error or similar. If we go for that idea, we might need to ask in Wiki Talk if the idea is sound.

Okay, new new idea - make the custom title "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (The Original Series)". That combines the title with the disambiguation, while making it clear where the official name ends and it's immediately obvious it's a custom title. It will even work in indexes. Does that make sense?

Regulated fun - the best kind! I don't make the rules, just enforce them with an iron fist.Anyone? I don't want to do this all on my own.
Regulated fun - the best kind! I don't make the rules, just enforce them with an iron fist. The custom title problems have been mostly resolved. The trick is not to use all-caps or numbers in the wiki words. Also all the series now have their subtitles as redirects, so you can do double linking like Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha As or Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Strikers without using potholes at all (except for Force because it doesn't have the Girl part) and Nanoha Original is also now a redirect for the first series with the same custom title applied as the main title, so it should be the easiest way to link to it.

Regulated fun - the best kind! I don't make the rules, just enforce them with an iron fist.I don't think As is going to be a good idea as a redirect for that.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Just use {{As}}. It's good for cross-linking the different Nanoha articles, if nothing else.

Regulated fun - the best kind! I don't make the rules, just enforce them with an iron fist.I know I said I was against splitting the character entries, but I was thinking maybe we can do one exception for Vivio. She's kind of unique among the recurring cast (that haven't yet been demoted or Put on a Bus), in that both her characterisation and her role in the story are fundamentally different between Strikers and ViViD.
In Strikers she's not so much a character as a living plot device and something for the lolicons little girl moe enthusiasts to squee over. In ViViD she's the main character and acts like your typical Magical Girl Warrior shonen lead, which means almost zero overlap in the tropes department. And as a bonus if we split her entry, we can use the totally awesome comparison image with her loli/adult forms (like the other main girls from ViViD have now). Can't do that on the Strikers page, because it would be a spoiler for the ending. Any objections?
Regulated fun - the best kind! I don't make the rules, just enforce them with an iron fist.Sounds like a good idea to me.
Same here. Though would Strikers Sound Stage X stuff go to her Strikers character page?
Also agreeing with the idea of "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (The Original Series)" for the first season page.
Okay, Vivio is done. I only saw one trope directly related to Sound Stage X, so I didn't see the need for a three-way split. If more are added then maybe, but I'll leave that for someone else to decide.
"Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (The Original Series)" is not working as a substitution title for MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaOriginal for some reason, but it is working for NanohaOriginal, which is more convenient anyway.

Regulated fun - the best kind! I don't make the rules, just enforce them with an iron fist.I just noticed that the link for the movies mess up with the Index, since they are redirects. In the Magical Record Lyrical Nanoha Force page it says the next page of the Index is Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE First, which redirects to Nanoha Original, thus never allowing Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha be reached through it.

Good catch. I changed the index order, since the first game and movie were released at the same time anyway. I also didn't know that multiple index blocks on one page actually counted as one continuous index and that it skipped repeated entries.
Regulated fun - the best kind! I don't make the rules, just enforce them with an iron fist.Um... there's this other thread about redirects to individual Nanoha stuff. Apparently that thread needs some more input.
something
The fact it's about the first season should already be obvious by the "original" in the title. I was thinking more along the lines of "Please use Anime/MagicalGirlLyricalNanoha instead of MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaOriginal when linking to this page for purposes other than indexing."
