In reality, with greenhouse pollution from fossil fuels building up in the atmosphere at an increasing rate, the world is now hotter than it has ever been in recorded history.

Hold on, I need to invent a way to punch people from across the internet.

Also: CLIMATE DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY! WE HAVE THINGS LIKE CYCLES!

The thing about making witty signature lines is that it first needs to actually be witty.

^ lol i dunno, but I'm pretty sure that's major voter fraud. As deputy majority leader, Shawn Jasper ought to be speaking out against letting these cows vote, even if their votes helped put him and his colleagues in office.

Sorry, but I can't believe much from that article (or that site). It demonstrated a bias opinion in the matter way too quickly and I'm not sure how much of it can be believed.

That page makes my eyes ache. Summary please? If this isn't about holding umbrellas over cows or something, I'm going to be disappointed.

TLDR VERSION: Republican majority in New Hampshire State House of Representatives votes to repeal the state's participation in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative  click here for quick explanation

. In the course of discussing this issue, Deputy Majority Leader Shawn Jasper (R-Hudson) says that cows are not responsible for global warming.

Also, I replaced the link in the opening post. Hopefully this site has a better color scheme.

Yet another global warming debate, with someone inevitably jumping in and saying "ITS A CYCLE !!!1!!!"

Pardon my language, but who gives a flying fuck whether it's a cycle. The effects will be equally catastrophic whether it's a cycle or not, and you can argue till you're blue in the face but there is such a thing as a greenhouse effect caused by gases we emit. Them's the facts.

Knowing these things, who would be stupid and short-sighted enough to advocate doing nothing to reduce our emission of these gases?

Look, you can't make me speak in a logical, coherent, intelligent bananna.

Actually, there are cycle, but it's a cycle that's moving somewhere because someone (namely, us people) are doing something to it.

Cyclical effects don't explain what's going on—ENSO (El Nino Southern Oscillation), PDO (Pacific Decadal Oscillation), NAO (Yuuki Nao North Atlantic Oscillation), and the rest. Cycles don't explain away clear trends.

By the way, Usht, you seem to be a pretty reasonable person. Why don't you read this a bit?
