Indeed. I just Archive Binged the whole thing and RA's kinda going the Mind Screw angle pretty hard right now. Also, the whole "other person was a figment of your imagination" thing is up there with All Just a Dream on my list of really annoying plot twists.

I've completely lost the plot at this point. Am I meant to understand what's going on, or is it okay that I have no idea what I'm seeing?
It actually kind of makes sense if you've paid attention to the story/blogs/Rants. My theory is that Snippy simultaneously is and isn't Ze Captain, as Ze Captain appears to be every single human being, which is why the Arbitrator probably mistook Snippy for Captain, since he technically is.
