She's Alex's Babysitter, is the original owner of The Cat, and that she has some connection to the Sovereign.
That's all we know.

someone on the forums said it best:
Now, off topic: I had a thought. The Magic Mouse is supposed to activate its power when Alex says some magic phrase, right?
Has he said "Sweet Christmas, it's stupid fresh" since getting the Mouse?
Because if not, well...

I have a message from another time...Well, you were asking about Hope Keene...
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Guys.
Something amazing has happened.

Behold!
Aw yeah!
Now to find out that everyone in that world is Touched.
I have a message from another time...I dunno.
I mean, a major theme of FFVI is overcoming despair and gaining hope.
On the other hand, there is a boss in that game who is quite literally a swirling mass of despair and anger.
I mean, if the Shard was able to do what it did to Scarmiglione, just imagine what would happen if it came into contact with Wrexsoul.

I have a message from another time...Not exactly an uncommon theme. If that were enough to stop the Sovereign, she'd never have gotten off the ground in the first place.
...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back.Of course, the person who would otherwise be the best candidate for being Touched is dead. But he shows up in Nexus, so I don't even know.
Anyone else very amused by the inversion of the Celes/Maria Body Double thing?
I have a message from another time...And that's why Intangirs don't show up on the Veldt.
I have a message from another time...Him getting Touched and teaming up with Wrexsoul?

Meh, they'll probably bring him back to life next strip, just to show how he managed to do so in the first place.
I can't say that came out of left field. I mean, it's already been established that Alex breaks games for fun, and Final Fantasy VI is the most exploitable in the series. Locke's probably got the genji glove + offering combo with two atma weapons for 79,992 damage with a regular attack. Kefka's HP total is 62,000. The game really does make it that easy.

...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back.1 important thing to note: If killing him was her aim, she could've saved MP and used Death. The use of X-Zone probably means that she intends to just get him away from the world itself, since it's about to go all purple.
Interesting thing: in Final Fantasy V, the X-Zone/Banish spell threw its target into the Interdimensional Rift. Maybe Locke is about to meet up with Gilgamesh.
Also, this can't actually be apocalypse, unless something happens to rescue the Figaro Brothers from it really soon.
I have a message from another time...Thought so as well. She's saving him from the impending apocalypse. But why did she have to be Touched to decide that?

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."So, an interesting idea popped up in a forum somewhere.
What if, when Alex played the game and went through Cyan's Nightmare, he beat Wrexsoul by using X-Zone on his minions, instead of K Oing the possessed party member to make Wrexsoul show himself?
By that, I mean, what if Wrexsoul (a swirling mass of sorrow and hatred) is still inside one of the heroes? If the power of the Shard turned Scarmiglione into the Eater of Dreams, imagine what it would do to Wrexsoul, or the person harboring him.
I have a message from another time...Oh man, at one time I was archive binging this comic hard. Even though I'd played like... none of the games at this point (I didn't have a game system during these game eras) and then I just stopped reading webcomics for a year and never really got back to it. And a bunch of others.
.... Seems like it's going really, really slowly.
Been so long since I've read this. I emember my first archive bing and al the fun I had with the Magus/Mario/Max Force crossover. Though on the downside this comic has so many minor plots that it's impssible to keep track of everything especially when there are several year longs hiatuses in a row. I'm sure most people have forgotten all the sublte details by now. Like Hope Keene for example. Do we actually know anything about her? I heard the name once and I'm not even sure if it was Kevin's older sister or younger sister.
