Redirect Farming: The Can Kicked Him

All things considered, The Can Kicked Him is probably not the best name for this trope. The pun is incredibly forced, and the title makes this one sound that it's about someone who dies by the hand of a "killer toilet"—not by the hands of someone else who uses a toilet as a murder weapon.

Though apart from a notice on the page for examples about dying on a toilet needing to be moved to a different trope page, there isn't much misuse  *

so I don't think we need to push for a rename, but a few redirects would be nice.

Personally, I'm feeling fond of Killed With A Toilet.

I like The Can Kicked Him. I think it's clever.

Rhymes with "Protracted."

But the trope itself is not an actual "can" doing the kicking; it's someone else using the "can" as a murder weapon. Going out of the way for a punny title, the actual event surrounding the trope was disregarded.

It's clever, but it's also pointless. And nothing pointless can be truly clever.

I thought it was cute. I bet other people do too. You're still getting killed by a toilet either way. And 62 wicks + 110 inbounds is plenty enough to satisfy me that the current name is working; it's not super-high, but it's not a super-common trope either, so what do we expect, right?

I say we stick to redirects on this one.

^I'll agree with that, but I ain't ever calling this trope name "clever."

And there's a big difference between being killed with a toilet (what the trope is) and being killed by a toilet (what the trope title sounds like)—even if it does end the same way.

How about Kicked In The Can?

Kicked In The Can sounds good to me.

I must admit, when I first stumbled across this page, I didn't fully understand the trope because the title is quite misleading. I understand the pun, but it's not exactly clever and doesn't really work in context of the trope.

As XKCD puts it, this isn't cleverness. I agree with renaming.

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!

Killed With A Toilet and Kicked In The Can are now redirects. If there is demand for a rename, I can definitely make a crowner for that purpose, but as of now I do not think there is that much support for one.
