Wow.

I should be excited, but I hate MM Os and know that somehow, this is gonna suck.

Titled Doctor Who: Worlds in Time, the game allows players to enter the TARDIS and be set a challenge by the mysterious Time Lord to help him defend civilized culture against infamous Doctor Who enemies.

So... We play as the companions? In a Doctor Who MMO? Who thought that was a good idea?

Nnnnnnot sure if want. On the one hand, it sounds more like a Myst-style puzzle game than an MMORPG, which is good. I don't think Doctor Who could stand players grinding Daleks for a new Sonic Screwdriver. On the other hand, I'm a bit suspicious as to how well such a malleable universe is going to translate to an MMO.

But somehow,

Grinding Daleks to earn a Sonic Screwdriver would be horrible.

Cybermen and Sontarans are easier to kill.

So, is this gonna just be free in the UK, like the BBC released games?

So instead of details, this is going to be the Complaining About Shows You Don't Watch thread? I mean, wow. It's an MMO, so it's automatically the most horrible game in the world?

Uh, no, nobody ever said that.

Why don't you actually read people's posts?

I think this is going to suck for reasons unrelated to it being an MMO. The history of Doctor Who games has not been a very good one. And the developer... I've got a bad feeling about the developer.

It sounds promising, but I'd like to see some more info on the game itself. Is it going to be an MMORPG, or some other kind of online experience? That's what I'd like to find out before I make any judgment.

It's free-to-play. I wonder - will it be an ARG?

"BBC exec Robert Nashak promised "time-bending puzzles" and "pulse-pounding challenges"."

It's not a standard MMO. It may be a massively multiplayer online puzzle game, like Myst: URU or that conspiracy game from a few years ago.

Its live! It went up three days ago, and I started playing two days ago.

Give it a chance. Its very addictive.

Possibly my favorite Doctor Who line at this point: Tick-Tock goes the clock, even for the DOCTOR
