As someone who was opposed to AOE Online from the beginning, this only further blackens my outlook on the project.
https://www.facebook.com/emileunmedicatedanduncutBy "no one is saying anything", I mean Microsoft, GPG and Robot are all mum.
Jonah FalconMoogi: It's free-to-play anyway.
Jonah FalconI wanted to get this already, but now I am more interested. Maybe they want Robot to make AOE4?

Thank you for the silver lining!
Robot doesn't want to spend 3 years on a single game anymore. They say they want to make small fun games like Orcs Must Die!. You know, they test out a few concepts, go with one they really like, and release a game 7 or 8 months later.
Jonah FalconI have a feeling that they will eventually make 4. If its made, it will probably be WW1-Iraq War◊.
To be honest though, that was a really long time ago. Any interest they might of had in that could of easily went away. Plus, I recall an employee responding about the fifth one that it was all just speculation, since people didn't like the unrealistic setting it showed.
Well, Microsoft will eventually make another one due to its popularity. If they did, what else would they do?
It may be that Robot opted out, and Microsoft scrambled to get a replacement.
But that's speculation on my part.
Jonah FalconDownloaded it, tried to play it, it failed to launch. i'm gonna give it another go tommorro, but it looks intriguing. The fact that you need to pay to be at all competative Vs. someone else who pays annoys me, but its only a few bucks(minus the shop) so i'll be flexible.
I'm baaaaaaack
SHOCKING news.
Microsoft has dropped Robot Entertainment (ex-Ensemble Studios) and hired Gas Powered Games.
Yes, the Supreme Commander / Total Annihilation devs are doing Age Of Empires.
Cats and dogs, living together, mass hysteria.
No one is saying anything.
