@Stamina: I'd rather that Team Rose not have Vector. Vector is part of Team Chaotix. Big is part of Team Rose.

Like the Chaotix even matter anymore.

It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference.

Or are even really together anymore.

Actually, I think I'd like Team Rose as a team of 5 (Amy, Cream, Cheese, Big and Vector).

[up][up]Like anyone besides Sonic, Eggman, and maybe Tails matter anymore.

I would rather if Team Rose consisted of Amy, Cream, and Blaze.

[up]Very true which is a damn shame.

[up]Having Blaze as part of Team Rose would ruin the Speed-Power-Flight dynamic that's shared by all teams. There would just be two Speeds in one team if Blaze was part of Team Rose.

Blaze is a pyromancer which would make her very good at blowing shit up. I think she could be a good power character if that aspect is focused on.

[up][up] Blaze could work as a Power character. Rouge being Tails's counterpart when she started as a Knuckles copycat made just as much sense.

Ninja'd.

But Blaze is fast, too. It would make Amy redundant.

They could slow her down if they wanted her to.

Then again they could also make Amy the power character. She's got a bigass hammer.

[up][up] Rouge couldn't fly in her first appearance, just glide. Knuckles could glide too. Rouge was as powerful as Knuckles in Adventure 2.

They change things about characters for the Power/Flight/Speed dynamic to work.

I have an idea for a new team: Team Lost

Speed: Mighty

Fly: Ray

Power: Tikal

[up]The problem with that is that Tikal is dead and in the afterlife. I'm sure there's at least one Power character that's been "forgotten" besides Tikal, but I just can't remember.

Tikal is brought back as a rotting zombie, hence why she's power.

However, Rouge does naturally possess flight, atleast, character-wise, not so much game-wise. Depends the game, of course. More like how Tails does. However, she fit more as a clone of Knuckles in Adventure 2 only because Tails had a better clone with Eggman since they're the high intelligence ones.

Rouge had both Tails and Knuckles' abilities in Sonic 2006.(Bombs similar to Tails, and Gliding via Knuckles) She also can stay in the air far longer than Knuckles, atleast in Sonic Battle. Which means that flight is one of her key abilities, besides obviously Sound.

As for Amy, she's a Speed/Power combination no really different from Blaze. In fact, other than the different types of attacks, they generally share a similar ability in how they run. Neither can Curl Up into a Ball(well, besides in Shadow The Hedgehog for Amy, due to the programming, but in general, neither can) Amy also has been associated with both Wind and Fire before. Fire more or less because of her personality, and Wind through Sonic Battle and her "twirling" style. Blaze is mainly Fire, obviously, but her dash attack could still have the Wind relation due to the tornado made around her.

Then again, most characters possess something Wind-based, heh. And other Elements. It's been awkward.

Emerl is the closest we have to another power character but he won't be used again anyway.

edit: Actually there's always Shade but they've been ignoring her.

Outside of Sonic Battle 2, or some special appearances in many random games. But there's a reason for that. Storyline-wise, atleast.

@miru: No, a zombie would be weak and fragile yet unkillable to do regeneration.

I've found a more suitable Power character Heavy and Bomb. They have super strength, and they're forgotten, so they would work too.

That, and Tikal... okay, she does fit more as a Power character, due to being an Echidna, and flight wouldn't work well for her, I'd say.

However, she's not a "forgotten" character either.

Heavy, Bomb, Ray, and Mighty however are. Weren't they all Chaotix members anyway?

[up] Quite a few Zombies are ridiculously strong in media, so that's not exactly true. Often times they can only die due to a headshot. Skeletons are generally weaker, though.

[up][up]Yeah they would probably work better.

My previous post made me realize that they could always use Shade as a power character in Team Rose if they decided to use her again. She's even a distaff counterpart to Knuckles like Amy and Cream are to Sonic and Tails.

[up]Yes. Technically all the Chaotix were forgotten until Heroes brought them back for some reason.

@Kostya: In fact, the Chaotix's first appearance was declared non-canon. Heroes marked their canon debut, even though it wouldn't cause a lot of Continuity Snarling if their real debut was still canon.
