I'm just playing as per normal, but I haven't moved into Torment yet. Not dealing enough damage to take out Treasure Goblins yet. Also: am annoyed because my current Monk legendaries support Physical damage, and that just took a big nerf with the element changes. On the other hand, my Crusader's having fun with a 1-h Punish / Shield Bash / Blessed Shield Holy build, even if it's not the most practical.

I just need an Int hero to run. Maybe it's time to break out the old Witch Doctor.

Personal anecdotal evidence says that Rifts are still better for legendaries in general, as well as targeted via Kadala.

The increased drop chance from the cache hasn't been noticeable (for my T2 / T3 cache farming, comparing against Normal).

Since the patch I've somehow managed to put together the Bul Kathos 2-weapon set, and I've picked up Slanderer (which was bugged to not drop until this patch).

Double post!

The Anniversary dropped an Immortal King's helm for me, which means I can now respec my barb and use Call of the Ancients without having to use the Boulder Breaker (awesome weapon model, such a pity that 2-handers are terrible).

The Anniversary also dropped a Cindercoat for my demon hunter, so now I can spam Cluster Arrow for days!

How's everyone's loot hunting going?

Still taking it slowly - my Crusader and Monk can survive Torment 1 (barring the odd corridor stuffed full of skeletons, Death Maidens and elites with Arcane Enchanted Molten Teleporting Desecrator Executioners. Still leveling my WD: Locust Swarm - Pestilence is pretty good for clearing trash.

Can't get the right legendaries to respec my Monk into a non-physical build. Got a Skycutter, but the usual Holy build uses a 2H weapon, right? Got an Odyn Son but am waiting for a decent Thundergod's Vigor.

(On the other side: am thinking of crafting my first Legendary for my Crusader: a Piro Marella. Fingers crossed for Gyrfalcon's Foote.)

Death Maiden Rift Guardian (Infernal Maiden) and Executioner Rift Guardian (I forget his name) still mess up my face something fierce.

Cold-spamming Morlu Incinerator Rift Guardian (Rime) gets special mention for being a huge pain in the butt for me, but only because I'm melee.

Luckily, Blizzard did not see fit to make a Sand Wasp Rift Guardian.

Aaaaanyway, I've settled on this Holy Monk build, and it's working nicely in Torment 1 so far - I can actually kill Treasure Goblins. It's pretty silly to watch Sweeping Wind and Tempest Rush in combination, though...

EDIT: I hope I get comfortable enough to run this Fire build eventually, because stacking those debuffs would be hilarious.

Tornadoes!

I decided to take a new spec for a spin last night (geddit? Ah, you'll see) that involved whirlwinding (Bul-Kathos weapons) while I whirlwind (my own whirlwind) while I leave whirlwinds behind me (Sprint - Run Like the Wind) while a minion whirlwinds (Immortal King's 4-piece, one of the Ancients uses whirlwind).

It was fun...

...until I realised I was doing terrible damage. sad

So much for crafting a Piro Marella: I got a [awesome]Jekangbord[awesome] from today's bounties. Should probably get back to my Witch Doctor soon, though I'd like a Gyrfalcon's Foote to go with the shield.

[up] Grats!

Kadala finally gave up the goods and let RN Gesus bless me with Might of the Earth pants last night.

Jumped in (get it?) with it straight away. Got 45m ticks from stacking the quakes on top of each other with full buffs solo. Would be ridiculous with a WD in group.

Behold the Reaper of Recipes Challenge winner: Sand Shark Caldeum Style!

Not something I imagine myself eating, but it looks amazing.

Hmm... Never eaten anything with that much quinoa in it before (admittedly, here it's being used as 'sand').

Patch 2.0.6 now live, containing some bug fixes, Monk skill and Legendary set bonus item improvements, buffs to class set drop rates, and the removal of special crafting materials for Legendary items. Yes, that means no more farming Reaper's Fear or whatever. Death's Breath requirements are being adjusted as well.

Sell 'em. Only thing they're good for now. EDIT: It's kinda weird, but I can't help but feel bad that we're losing the flavour text on those items.

Hey there's something I've just noticed which I'd like to inquire about around here.

If you look at the icon for the Crusader's Laws of Hope ability, the outer ends of the red heart can be noticed to have something of a lower-quality pixelated look compared to the game's other icons. Could that be a subtle reference to the hearts and lives in much older games?

Have the base game on the PC, but my computer is old and shitty. Thinkin about selling out and getting a PS 4. If so I'll get it on that.

[up][up]Eh, doubtful. You have to look real hard to notice it, and it's such an obscure reference that almost no one would be able to get it.

I vaguely don't want to have to think the icon's heart is just low-res though

Onward from the discussion of the resolution of ability icons (seriously?) and on to the Patch 2.1 preview!

Among other features (I don't have the time to write up a full list now) are seasons wherein you level new characters from 1-70 and defeat certain specific challenges for unique legendary rewards; leaderboards for various achievements; tiered rifts unlocked by defeating regular rift guardians — you'll be timed and all the loot will drop from the guardian, not the mobs; a revamp of Agility to make it add Armor instead of Dodge; and some reworking of Preparation to ensure that Discipline remains a defensive power pool for DH's, not an offensive one.

One With Everything is finally getting a revamp. It'll be replaced by a new Monk passive that converts 30% of specific elemental resistances to Resist All.

It's too good? Wtf is this bologna. If you think it's too strong just don't use it, don't ruin it for the rest of us by demanding a nerf.
