I agree, that's a really cute name.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Big Brother Scrappy Sister? Catchy, but it misses the mark.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.The trouble is that it might make her seem like a Scrappy character, that is a hated one.
I know, it misses the mark.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.The problem I have with Kitten And Bulldog is that there is no implication that the kitten is the leader.
Maybe Little Leader Big Bodyguard. I know it's bland, you can't get much clearer.
Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova ScotianBump.
Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova ScotianWhere does this trope require that teh kitteh is teh leader? From the looks of the page the requisite is that teh kitteh can has protection. Bulldog And Kitten is fine so far.
Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?I guess a catchy name like Kitten And Bulldog could actually help this name get more wicks.
I still want Little Leader Big Bodygaurd as a redirect.
Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova ScotianWhile we're at it, anyone mind if zerky replaces the current image with this?
The one we have now is super poor quality.
That's better. Go ahead and swap it.
Fight smart, not fair.Casting a vote for Bulldog And Kitten.
Also, may be related to Huge Guy, Tiny Girl.
Hey, someone brought this up again! Yay, this one's overdue for a rename, IMO.
Big Dog And Little Cat? Has the advantage that "big dog" is a common term for big, tough-but-friendly guys. ("Bulldog" is more suggestive of tenacity, which is not what this trope's about).
Should we add a single-prop crowner while we discuss names?
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Big Dog Little Cat is a good one.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.There is now a single proposition rename crowner for this trope here. If a moderator thinks it is alright to go to alternative titles at this point, I can switch it with that kind of crowner.
Personally, I think the trope should be renamed for the reasons Shale mentioned.
I like Big Dog Little Cat as a possible new name since it highlights the size difference between the two characters.

I like Bulldog And Kitten better than Big Dog Little Cat because Bulldog And Kitten sounds more like a duo to me.
Rhymes with "Protracted."It should have a comma, like Huge Guy, Tiny Girl.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.I'm not sure I like Bulldog. Those tend to be more of a medium sized dog.
Fight smart, not fair.Split the difference for Big Dog And Kitten?
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Bulldogs fit a tough-guy Animal Stereotype that works well with the trope, though, even if they're not strictly as large as a mastiff or whatever.

Rhymes with "Protracted."But I think they're better known for being tenacious than tough. Never gonna let you go, never gonna give you up. (ducks)
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.I think the trope is obvious from it's name, not even taking the tropes namer into account.
Am I a good man or a bad man?
Crown Description:
Vote up for yes, down for no.
I really like Bulldog And Kitten.
