First of all, it seems to me that every video that already has its own page needs to be gathered into one simple list up front. (i.e. we don't need a paragraph describing It's Just Some Random Guy, he already has his own page for goodness sake!) The Joker Blogs, lonelygirl15, Know Your Meme, etc.

Now we can move on to the second category: videos that don't have their own pages. The descriptions need to be standardized. Some entries have entire paragraphs and others have nothing. All we need is two sentences for each.

And P.S. entries that only consist of a quote (I'm looking at you, Potter Puppet Pals!) have to go. This page is for reference, not injokes!

It needs a quotes page. Too many quotes at the top of the page, and two of them too long.

Yeah, the material on the page goes way overboard in describing how people get angry when the smallest changes are made (which sounds like people complaining about Saturday Night Live).

I'm going to condense this down and edit it into something much more manageable.

There Is No Such Thing As Notability, so we need to add everything back.

I just want a uniform method of describing You Tube videos and channels that don't rely solely on a repetition of a meme or quote from said channel.

^ I was the one who added that whole section on "notable videos" way back (I think it was something like a year ago). Some of the video links I deleted off the page were expired or deleted for copyright claims. Some examples had the tone of a Youtube user who was trying to promote their own works. A couple even had non-existent links.

I tried to scale the bottom half of the page back to works that, at the very least, had some form of recognition outside the site. We need (like Nate said) a system up and working that doesn't just post links to videos with parroting statements about memes (which is what a lot of the material on the page was about), and at least some description of why the video is notable.

What about moving the list to a new index for YouTube-based works? Seems ideal to me.

This looks pretty fixed. Someone else want to confirm that so we can lock?
