Yukari: Well, I wasn’t expecting a threat, but at least he’s off from my back and Scorbunny’s and Kiel’s life.
Yukari gets up from the ground as Joker and Forte run towards her, Scorbunny, and Kiel.
Joker:<Yukari, are you okay?!>
Forte:<Did he do anything to Kiel?!>
Yukari: I’m fine, and so is Kiel and Scorbunny.
Scorbunny:<At least he’s not with us for good.>
Kiel:<Yeah…>
Yukari:Anyway, -turns to the person who saved her, Scorbunny, and Kiel- thanks for saving me there…uh…you mind telling me your name?

Chiyo: -Walking towards the altar- This place, it feels weird.
Chloe: -Appearing after having examined the area from the sky- It's kinda creepy honestly, why'd we bother taking this detour anyway? There's like some sort of abyss below us that I can barely make out through all this fog.
Chiyo: -At the altar- It reminds me of the Entralink almost, but...
Chloe's right, this place is giving me the creeps.
I can tell it was obviously once part of a much larger complex. Presumably my ancestors built this altar and the surrounding areas to honor Solgaleo and Lunala back before it became ruins, but I think it served a much larger purpose than that. I can feel it, the air is thick with Aura, it must be a Nexus.
But regardless of that, will we ever find out what that original purpose was?

Yukari handshake his hand since he was holding out for a handshake. The first day of the treasure hunt may not have gone well, but maybe that’s for the best. That is when Scorbunny realizes something; they haven’t even got the bug gym badge back!
Scorbunny:<Uh, sorry to interrupt, but->
Kiel:<I’m pretty sure Tagg will get the badge for us. Besides, I’m sleepy…>
Forte: <Hmm, I suppose it's past bedtime…>
Joker: <Well, it was nice to meet you, Mr. Tagg.>
While Joker and Forte head back to Yukari’s dorm while carrying Kiel, she couldn’t but wonder if she can, at the very least, find some people that she can trust with. If anything, Joker is right about the fact she could’ve told an adult instead of doing things like this on her own.
Yukari: …Hey, Tagg, I understand that you don’t want me to do what I’m going to ask, but is it alright if I join your group? You don’t have to give me an answer right now. Besides, I’ll be at Artazon tomorrow, so feel free to give me your answer there.
Yukari starts to walk away with Scorbunny, but she stops and turns to Tagg and bows at him.
Yukari: With that, I’m off.
She then continues walking back to her dorm for the night.

Yukari and co are having a picnic not only to relax before the gym, but to welcome Scorbunny to the team.
Scorbunny: <You weren’t kidding about making sandwiches…>
Kiel: <Well, I can cook besides making sandwiches.>

Joker: <That reminds me, Yukari, have you thought of a name for him?>
Yukari is sitting in her spot, looking as if she doesn’t have any ideas to name Scorbunny, something Joker notices.
Joker: <Oh right, you’re pretty bad at coming up with names.>
Yukari: Look, I’m not great at thinking of names as yours took me two years to figure that one out!
Scorbunny: <Then, how long did you named Forte and Kiel?>
Yukari: Actually, their parents named them, so I was lucky that I didn't have to spend some time on a name for a new pokèmon.
Scorbunny: <Great, by the time you get all the gym badge, I’ll have a name that only took you about a few months or more.>
Yukari: …Speaking of gyms, since the next gym is a grass type and grass is weak to fire for obvious reasons, I figure why not have you battle in the gym, Scorbunny.
Yes, this sounds like a good idea, a nice one even. However, Scorbunny hid behind Kiel, causing him and Yukari to be confused. It took a couple of seconds for Yukari to explain why he did that.
Yukari: Right, considering your old trainer, you’re scared that if you fail, bad stuff will happen to you.
Scorbunny: <Uh…No?>
Yukari: Can you stop lying?
Scorbunny: <Hey, just because I can’t control it, that doesn’t mean I can’t tell anyone the truth!>
Joker: <Well, I guess for this gym, Kiel might as well battle in Scorbunny’s place>
Forte: <Again? Really?>

Forte:<No, is just…I mean, I know you have a type advantage, but I can’t help but worry.>

Yukari: Well, I better hurry up and set up the tent for the night. Besides, I just want us to have the energy to battle the next gym tomorrow morning at earliest.

Poppy and her team were now standing right outside the Gym. She needed to figure out what Pokèmon she would take to fight the Gym Leader.
Poppy: Okay, first things first - type advantages. We don't have any Dark or Ghost types, but Lila, you know Bite and you have the ability Protean. So, you would be able to turn into a Dark type during the battle, so we're taking you.
Lila: Right!
Poppy: Now, let's see... Donut, you're kind of a double-edged sword here. You're part Normal-type, which gives you immunity against Ghost types... but also, your Normal-type moves won't work against Ghost types... well, you don't know any Normal-type moves other than Quick Attack or Shed Tail, so you should be fine to battle.
Donut: Alright.
Poppy: Next up... Sunrise! You know Shadow Ball, plus your Flamethrowers boosted by Drought really pack a punch. You're up!
Sunrise: Wow, I've... been doing a lot of battles, huh?
Poppy: You're right... Now, who'll be last up-
Nessa: I'll battle.
Donut: What?
Donut had a gut feeling Nessa wasn't saying that - she genuinely meant it.
Nessa: I said I'll battle.

A Half Hour Later...
It had come down to Donut and Nessa against Ryme's Tera Ghost Toxtricity. Despite being outnumbered, Toxtricity had been doing good damage to both of them.
Poppy: I guess it's time for me to pull out the big guns! Donut-
Nessa: I want to Terastallize! Let my Surf drown this opponent in the cruel despair of the Earth!
Poppy: Alright! Here we go!
Poppy pulled out her Tera Orb, charging it with electricity, throwing it at Nessa.
Poppy: Wait... what did she just say?
Poppy didn't have time to dwell on what Nessa meant by 'cruel despair', she had to battle. A Dragon Claw, Ice Beam, another Dragon Claw, and Tera-boosted Surf later, Toxtricity went down and Poppy received the Ghost Badge.
Later that night...
Poppy was about to head to sleep for the night, when Donut was suddenly staring right into her face.
Poppy: Donut, what are you doing?
Donut: Nessa... she worries me.
Poppy: Why- Oh. I think I know what you mean.
Donut: First she seriously asks to battle, then she says stuff like 'let my Surf drown this opponent in the cruel despair of the Earth'... she's not herself.
Poppy: Well, I mean, we have had her on the team since she hatched from an Egg, she could just be having growing pains.
Donut: Does a cold and serious stare like you've seen some serious stuff look like growing pains to you?
Poppy: I don't know.
Donut: All I know is that Nessa's... not herself. And I want to figure it out.
Poppy: Maybe you could ask her tomorrow?

The next morning, as the gang enjoyed breakfast as they awaited a Flying Taxi to take them to West Province Area One (which had the cave that would get them to Alfornada), Poppy noticed Nessa no longer had a childlike look in her eyes - instead, she looked like she had just lost her innocence.

Red: Intense? Yeah, no kidding. You were twitching like you'd grabbed an electric fence.
Cassandra: It was also... infuriatingly vague.
-She pops the aspirin and uses the rest of the water bottle to wash them down. She wipes around her mouth.-
Cassandra: Never before have I received a vision that vague, yet so... portentious.
Red: I'm not too proud to admit that I don't know what that word means.
Cassandra: It means something big is coming, and it's powerful enough to disrupt my prognostications. Either purposefully... or not. And that latter option is far more terrifying.

Yukari and most of her pokèmon are asleep, except for Scorbunny, who just can’t sleep.
Scorbunny: I just can’t even sleep. I mean, I’m glad that I got out of that situation by some sheer luck, but it’s not like that’s going to go away instantly. Maybe I need some fresh air for a moment.
Scorbunny quietly exits the tent as he sits down near the tent. He looks at the night sky, noticing how wonderful the stars look.
Scorbunny:The stars always look distance from each other, and yet they shine so bright.
While Scorbunny is looking at the stars, Kiel comes out of the tent and notices him.
Kiel:<Scorbunny? What are you doing out here?>
Scorbunny:<Oh! Uh…I was looking at the stars is all.>
Kiel:<I see…oh, I know! How about I read you a story that I read at the school’s library the other day?>
Scorbunny: <You sure that’s a good idea?>
Kiel: <I mean, it might help.>
Scorbunny ponders for a moment. Sure, Kiel could be trying to get him to sleep, but hey, he saved him from getting kicked, he doesn’t have any other choice.
Scorbunny: <Alright, what’s the story you’ll be telling me?>

Kiel stops on what he’s going to say as he notices something big behind Scorbunny, and it’s not Forte nor Joker. Scorbunny taps on his foot, unaware of what is happening.
Scorbunny: <What? The director expelled my trainer and Garchomp was sent away to a different trainer, so there’s no reason for you to->
Scorbunny then realizes that something is behind him and turns around to see a huge Klawf. They both stare at the abnormally large Pokèmon as he scatters away from the two.

Scorbunny: <We got to get rid of that Pokèmon before it wakes up Yukari.>
Kiel: <Yeah, I was thinking doing that despite the disadvantage we both have.>
Despite the risk of those two losing to a Klawf due to a type disadvantage, they chased after it until they got where they wanted. However, Scorbunny just stayed on the other line of the battle.
Scorbunny: <Sorry Kiel, but you’re on your own!>
Kiel: <It’s fine! I got this>
Kiel stands in battle position as the Klawf roar, causing Yukari and the rest of her team to wake up.
Yukari: What the fuck?!
Joker: <Never thought we’ll be waking up by something…>
Forte: <Wait! Where’s Kiel and Scorbunny?!>
The trio look around and notice that Scorbunny and Kiel are not here.
Yukari: Something tells me there’s a reason why those two are outside as we speak…
Scorbunny watches the battle between Kiel and the titan Klawf, hoping it goes well for both of them.
Kiel: Just dodge the super effective attacks and I should be fine…
Scorbunny: He’s going to faint if he doesn’t do anything about his health!
Kiel: I know I don’t have Forte’s bitter blade, but I do know this. It’s a bit risky, but it might work!
Scorbunny:Is he trying to get himself fainted?!
Scorbunny is extremely worried that if Klawf uses a move to hit Kiel with a rock move, Kiel is as good as a fainted Pokèmon.
Yukari, Joker, and Forte are getting close to where Scorbunny and Kiel are located, but they’re not fast enough to make it in time for Klawf’s attack when suddenly this happened;
Kiel: <...Huh? Scorbunny, what are you->
Scorbunny just lightly bonked Kiel on the head as he was upset at Kiel for pulling a risky move like that.
Scorbunny: <Are you trying to get yourself injured Kiel?! If I didn’t jump in, the Klawf would’ve hit you in one rock move and Yukari will be more stress out by that!>
Kiel: <Well…>
Scorbunny: -sigh- <...Sorry for doing that. Anyway, we got big meaty claws over there to deal with so Yukari will have no sleep over that..>
Titan Klawf: <What did you say, punk?>
Scorbunny:<Big…meaty…claws!>
Titan Klawf: <Well, these claws ain’t for attractin’ mates!>
Scorbunny:<Bring it on, huge Klawf! Bring it on!>
Kiel: Uh oh! I better stop this before he could get hurt. <No, you two, let’s be smart and fight fairly.>

While Kiel is preventing Scorbunny and Titan Klawf from duking it to the faint, Yukari, Forte, and Joker are just simply watching this unfold, albeit a little confused by this turn of events.
Yukari: …What the hell am I witnessing here?!
Forte: <Judging by what Scorbunny has said, I think he and Kiel were trying to get rid of this…odd Klawf…so you can sleep peacefully.>
Yukari: Huh…well, I appreciate the thought and all, but that crab pokèmon is going to faint them both if we don’t do anything about it!
Joker: <Don’t worry, I got this cover.>
Joker sneakily and quietly walks behind the titan Klawf and uses his signature move.
Joker:<You’re welcome you two!>
Scorbunny and Kiel look shocked. Not because Joker save them, but because Yukari found out about it anyway. Yukari and Forte walk up to where the trio are at as Scorbunny quickly turns to them.
Scorbunny:<It’s not Kiel’s fault! You see, I couldn’t sleep so I went out to get some fresh air and Kiel notice me, so he was going to tell me a story before the huge crab pokèmon was behind me and we both figure that if we defeat it, then…>
Yukari: No need to defend him, Scorbunny. Thank you both for worrying about me. I understand that yesterday was quite eventful and I appreciate the thought.
Scorbunny:<I see…I’m glad.>
Kiel:<Oh, right, the story! I was going to tell him about a Mudsdale known as King Horse! It's a really popular series, escaily in the Galar region according to what Director Calvel told me. As for Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh, well, it’s not that popular as they only translate one book.>
Yukari: …Wait, I think I know what you’re talking about Kiel. The story, at least what one of my caretakers used to read to me when I was small, was about King horse and his rather small luck. While he travels the town, his organ berry gets stolen, the weather is not sunny but rainy, and the shop he used to go to is closed. Despite this, he’s okay with this as he finds it as a part of life.
Kiel:<Yeah! I’m kind of surprised you knew about it.>
Yukari: Well, it was called Ōma Kokichi in Kanto, which literally means King Horse Small Luck. Despite having a nice story and morals there, it really never flew off like it did in other regions.
Forte: <Is it due to the literal translation of the title?>
Yukari: Could be, but I’m not too sure.
Kiel: <...Huh? There’s something in the cave.>
Scorbunny: <I’ll go and grab before the Klawf tries anything funny.>
Scorbunny walks into the cave while the gang waits for him. Besides, Kiel smells something in there, but he isn’t too sure what.
Yukari: …Wait, do you guys think the name Kokichi fits for Scorbunny?
Joker: <Huh? What do you mean?>
Yukari: Well, before he met us, he was with that trainer before I entered the school here. I don’t know what the trainer did to him prior, but he was trying to carry on his life, no matter what has been thrown at him. While he’s lucky that he met us, the chances of him and possibly Garchomp getting out of that situation was small, huh? His luck is extremely small despite being a bunny pokèmon, but if it weren't for Kiel, then I might’ve done something I’ll regret. And that’s why I want to name him as Kokichi not because it means small luck, but because even with small luck, it can prevail. Like he did when he used trailblaze on Klawf.
Kiel:<...I think that’s a nice name!>
Forte: <For someone who is bad at coming up names, you sure are quite thoughtful on them>
Joker: <Yep! She named me Joker as she told me that I gave her some Phantom Thief vibes.>
Yukari: Hey! I told you not to reveal that!
Joker: <Come on, you were amazed when I used flower trick earlier to save them both.>
Yukari: There’s a difference between flower trick and names, Joker!
It may seem they’re not getting along, but in truth they’re getting along well. While Forte quietly chuckles at the scene, Scorbunny brought an odd pink herb of sorts.
Scorbunny: <Hey, so I found this herb. Not sure if that’s what Kiel was referring to, but eh.>
Kiel: <Wait, that herb is from one of the herba mystas!>
Forte: <Kiel, I think you mispronounce it wrong…>
Scorbunny: <Is it that important?>
Kiel: <Yep! But, I recommend saving them for later. You may never know when you need them.>
Scorbunny: <Alright then.>
Yukari: …Oh, Scorbunny, can you come here for a second?

Yukari: So, while you were in the cave, I ended up thinking of a name for you. How does Kokichi sound?

Yukari and the team have arrived at the place to do the gym trial. Should be easy since Kiel and Kokichi decided to do the grass gym together.
Yukari: Okay, so, here’s the plan for this; Kokichi and Kiel will be used for a gym battle against the leader. However, I’ll be switching the duo to cause some confusion as Kokichi will be used for the tera stuff once the leader is down to one pokèmon. You and Forte will be waiting for Tagg to show up to give an answer on joining his group, okay?
Joker: <Okay, if you say so.>
Kokichi: <We’ll be back regardless if we lose or not!>
Kiel waves as the trio head off to the gym while Forte and Joker wait for Tagg to show up.

Yukari and the fire duo pokèmon got the grass gym badge as they head where Joker and Forte are at.
Joker: <Welcome back. Let me guess, you the grass badge?>
Yukari: Sure did. He clearly didn’t see Kokichi coming in with a steel chair.

Yukari: Right, we’ve been battling for a few days straight now. A short break time is needed.
Forte: <Oh, can we go and visit the gym leader in Cortondo and see if she can give us some sweets?>
Yukari: Sure. I was planning to visit her bakery anyway.

While Kiel is talking to Joker and Yukari, Kokichi notice that Forte has wander off to one of the sunflora statues. Not wanting to leave this on stand by, he decided to walks to where she is.
Kokichi: <So, what’s with the sunflora?>
Forte: <Are Ceruledges always evil?>
Kokichi: <What?>
Forte: -gets closer to Kokichi- <Does Ceruledges opt to use dirty tactics to win the fight, even if it’s unfair?>
Kokichi: <Forte, are you joking or are you serious?!>
Forte: -sets back from Kokichi- <Oh, my apologies, Kokichi. I didn’t mean to scare you like that.>
Kokichi: <It’s fine…I was confused.> Actually, I lied about being confused. I just don’t wanna hurt her feelings.

Roxy smiled, grabbed the hand of Cylus and rushed past, Helena sent a dupe only to see in a blue flash it get backhanded into a wall. She turned to Silas and frowned, with a grunt she summoned more of her, Juliana doing the same. The fight had begun.

-Now, normally there wasn't a need for a Rabbit to have a reason to think about firearms, but in this case, it was pertinent, as they each chambered a round before shuffling into the alley they'd followed their prey into.-
-The two girls, each with a different shade of purple hair, turned as the Rabbits leveled their various personal firearms at them.-
Girl 1: Well, you ain't cops.
Girl 2: And you ain't Snagems, either.
-The Rabbit leader swings under one of her Templar's long-barrels.-

Yukari: Him? Oh, he lies to me and can be a bit mischievous. However, despite that, he does care about everyone’s feelings and knows when to not make it worse.
Yukari’s teacher: I see.
While Yukari is talking to the teacher, Kiel walks up to Yukari and taps on her leg. This caused her and the teacher to notice him.
Kiel:<Yukari, look! Director Calvel gave me the sequel to Charcadet’s Adventure!>
Yukari: I see. Ever since the first day of school here, the students have taken a liking to Kiel and even the director can’t help but have the academy to take care of him. Not to mention that Kiel really likes reading books.
Kiel:<This here is called Charcadet’s Choice! Unlike the previous book, it’s a choose your own adventure!>
Yukari: …But, it only has two choices relating to the armors.

Yukari’s teacher: Uh, I hate to break an heartwarming moment, but this Charcadet appears to look…different.
Yukari: Oh, right, Kiel here is shiny. Sure, it’s hard to tell, but if you take a good look at his eyes, you will notice that his eyes are blue instead of orange.

Yukari, Joker, Forte, and Kokichi are walking towards where they were supposed to meet Kiel for a secret best picnic spot. The thing is, Kiel tells them that they’ll see him when they get there.
Kokichi: <This is going to take a longer time when compared to defeating a gym. Plus, how we all know when we see him?>
Forte: <I hope he didn’t get lost though…>
Joker: <I doubt that. Besides, he now knows where to go when compared to the first time we met him and you.>
Kokichi:<Oh! Tell me the time you met him and Forte!>
Joker: <Well, for Kiel, Yukari pretty much did the responsible thing when another Pokèmon decided to be mean to him over being mean to him. As for Forte…well, she can explain it.>
Forte: <M-me! B-but, if I do that, Kokichi will…>
Yukari: Will what exactly? Steal a rocky helmet I bought for you?
Forte: <It’s not that!> Although, I don’t get why she bought that instead of Muscle Band… <It’s…embarrassing.>
Kokichi: <Look, I’m not going to laugh. I only laugh at something that isn’t serious.>
Forte: <...I noticed that Kiel went missing. So, I went all over the place to look for him. While I was on my way back home, I notice that Kiel is with Yukari and Joker.>
Kokichi: <So, what happened next?>
Forte: <I…I->
Yukari: WHERE DID THAT BOULDER COME FROM?!
The gang looks around and notices there’s more rolling boulders coming their way!
Joker: <We need to run up where those boulders are coming from and dodge them!>
Yukari: Fine! But after this, we’re going to find Forte!
They run towards where the boulders are coming from while avoiding said boulders. Once they reach the top, Yukari and Kokichi are out of breath.
Yukari: Remind me to do some exercise later…
Joker: <Eh, I don’t think you need them.>
Kokichi: <Who is throwing those huge rocks in the first place?>
Out of nowhere, there’s a loud roar in front of them and notices it’s a huge Bombirder.
Yukari: Just when I thought that we could get a break…
Kokichi: <Wait, maybe Joker and I can defeat it!>
Joker: <While it’s risky considering the type advantage here, but I don’t want anyone to deal with those boulders.>
Yukari: All right, fine. Considering the fact I used some of the tms for you two, let’s test them out with the bird, shall we?
Joker: <You got it!>
Joker and Kokichi get in a battle position as Yukari gets ready.
Yukari: Well, aren’t you a little annoying bird!
The titan Bombirdier roar once more as it quickly fled.
Kokichi: <Hey, we’re not done yet!>
Kokichi ran after it while Yukari and Joker ran after him. They caught up to where the titan Bombirdier is eating an herb of sorts.
Yukari: What on earth is that one eating…?
Joker: <That, I’m not sure. However, that herb looks different…>
Once the Titan Bombirdier is finished eating, it roars loudly!
Yukari: Oh, come on! It just heals itself!
Kokichi: <Don’t worry, I got this.>
Kokichi grabs his oran berry and eats it.
Yukari: Joker, dodge that!
Yukari: ''Okay, just one more move and we should be-”
???: <Huh…?>
Yukari, Joker, and Kokichi look behind and see Kiel, who just arrived here.
Kiel: <Wow! I never guess that you guys beat me to the secret picnic spot. Anyway, what are you->
The bombirdier roars as it heads towards Kiel, causing the trio to panic!
Kokichi: <Oh no!>
Yukari: Look out!
Kiel: <Huh?>
Just as the Bombirdier gets closer to Kiel…a miracle happens.
???: <You will not touch my brother!>
No one was expecting Forte to come in and defeat it. She was hit by the rolling boulders earlier! Yukari, Joker, and Kokichi walk towards where Forte and Kiel are at.
Forte: <Are you okay, Kiel?>
Kiel: <Yeah…>
Forte: <Good.> -turns to Yukari- <Sorry for making you worry. I didn’t know the boulder was coming.>
Yukari: It’s fine. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting it either.
Kokichi: <You mind if I grab something from that den over there?>
Yukari: Yeah…sure…that herb the bird ate seems to be making it powerful.
Kiel: <Oh, it’s one of the herba mystica!>
Joker: <You mean the ones from that book you read while waiting for the sequel?>
Kiel: <Yeah! That’s why I want to get them all for something!>
Yukari: Something tells me that each time we defeat a gym, we’re going to encounter an Pokèmon with an herba mystic power… Well, as long as it’s not life risky, then we should be good.
A few minutes later, everyone was having a picnic as they enjoyed the sandwiches and desserts.
Forte:<Mmm! The chocolate cake is so tasty!>
Kiel: <I know, right?>
Yukari: Well, it seems that using tms to change their moves appears to work. I’ll ask them later on what moves they want to keep since we got to continue the gym battle tomorrow.
Kiel:<The pokèdex got it all wrong about Ceruledges; they’re just misunderstood black knights.>
Forte: <What?!>
Yukari: Are you referring to the book that the Director gave you?
Kiel: <Yeah! While the ending is similar to the armarouge choice, there’s also an ending if you chose the malicious armor and it says, “The Charcdet was curious about the armor on the right and picks it up. The voice just tsks. This confuses Charcadet, but before it can do anything, the grudges swarm around as it fades to black. Gengar, seemingly making the Charcadet faint, decided to go back he was doing only for Charcadet to become Ceruledge and mercilessly stop Gengar to harm other Pokèmon. Once it realizes it has become, the Ceruledge tries to flee, but the other Pokèmon grab it. “Please don’t run away!” They cried out. “We know that some of them aren’t mean like the others. Even if you have to stop them that way, it’s fine! No need to be afraid of what you have become. Ceruledge is thankful that there are some pokèmon out there don’t view it as one of those mean pokèmon and so, they live happily after.”>
Forte: <That’s…!>
Kiel:<See, Forte! The pokèdex was wrong about Ceruledge being evil! They’re just misunderstood and also want to protect those from evil.>
Forte: <I see…I’m glad that’s the case.>
Kokichi: Well, at least Forte is no longer being worried over the whole Ceruledge is evil stereotype. Good for her…I prefer her not being evil.
Yukari: I…have zero clues on what is going on, but at least you’re feeling happy.
Joker: <And you’re pretty cool when you did that.>
Forte: <C-cool?!>
Kiel: <Yeah! You’re so cool!>
Forte: <I-I appreciate the thought, but I don’t think I’m cool at all and->
Kokichi:And yet, she is as easily embarrassed as ever…
Once everyone is done eating, they all head back to the dorms.

Yukari is getting ready to go to sleep, but Joker is sitting on her bed.
Yukari: …Joker, you’re too big for that. Get back inside the ball.
Joker: <I know that. It’s about the gym tomorrow.>
Yukari: The one with Iono?
Joker: <Yep. Now, while I can do spikes, I don’t have any other moves that would at least helped that isn’t flower trick.>
Yukari: Yeah…should we get another Pokèmon that has a ground type?
Joker: <Are you using a ground type pokèmon for only Iono’s gym?>
Yukari: …You’re right. I really need to keep Pokèmon as themselves, not use them for that part alone.
Joker: <Exactly. I’m sure you’ll figure out on how to defeat Iono sooner or later.>
Yukari: Right… see you tomorrow morning, Joker.
Joker went inside his Pokèball while Yukari went to bed, unknown to them that Kokichi had eavesdropped on their conversation.

Yukari is getting herself ready while the rest of the team are just waiting for her to get done. It looks normal, but for whatever reason, Kokichi is acting odd.
Kokichi: Come on! Why can’t I get this move work?!
Kokichi has been trying to get a move work, but to no avail.
Kiel: <...Um, Kokichi. You don’t have to overwork yourself like that.>
Kokichi: <I’m not! It’s the electric gym! We have to pass through this somehow!>
Forte: <That, I agree with. Kiel, you might want to watch the battle instead of being used for it.>
Kiel:<But…okay.>
Joker: <...Hey, Kokichi, why are you acting this way?>
Kokichi: <What do you mean?>
Joker: <Oh, I don’t know…it’s just that you act as if you’ll be no longer needed.>
This caused Kokichi to stay quiet. That’s where Joker knew; he got the answer he needed.
Joker: <I see, no wonder why you’re trying to master that move. You just don't want Yukari to abandon you.>
Kokichi: <T-that’s…!>
Joker: <That’s what? A lie? The only reason you’re acting like this is not because you don’t want to be abandoned, it’s because you were eavesdropping, were you?>
At this point, Kokichi tries to use the move he’s being trying to get it working, but it fizzle out.
Joker: <I see. You don’t want to admit it. That’s fine. It’s just that I don’t want us to lose…if that gets in the way.>
While Joker does have a point, Kokichi starts to have a tantrum as he wails around the floor, causing Yukari to come out.
Yukari: What is going on now?!
Joker: <It’s best if you don’t know. Besides, he’ll calm down by the time you pass the Gym trial.>

Yukari has already put Kiel in a seat where he’ll be watching her and Iono battle.
Kiel: <So, you’ll be live on video?>
Yukari: Yep. Now, I know that some of our team don’t have an advantage that’ll defeat the electric types, but if I’m correct about this, then I should be able to win this one.
Kiel: <...Hey, Yukari. Is it true that you’re going to abandon Kokichi once you don’t need him?>
Yukari: Wha- where did that come from?!
Kiel: <Sorry…I know Joker was trying not to make you worry, but I don’t think it’ll bold well for you and the rest.>

As Yukari ponders, she recalls that she was asking Joker about using a ground type pokèmon and he asks her if she is just only using a ground type for the gym battle, causing her to relent.
Yukari: Based on that conversation last night, if that’s what cause Kokichi to act up, then-

With that, Yukari hurries off while Kiel looks at the battle court.

Yukari: She threw out the bird, eh? Well, just because you don’t have to deal with ground types, that doesn’t mean you are safe from other types.
Yukari: Joker, dodge!

Yukari: Yep.
Joker: <Okay, hope you like it cool!>
Yukari: Okay, Joker, you did good, now it’s time to switch.
Yukari puts him back in the ball while Iono summons Bellibot. There, she summons Forte.
Yukari: Guess we’ll have to use that move!
Yukari: Forte, you did well! Now it’s Joker’s turn!
Joker: <Now, this one should be easy!>
Yukari: Joker, wait!
Iono: Alright, enough using tactical pokèfare! Now, get ready to be supercharged!

An user named armaledge1202 says “I have a friend who is trying to get something right, but they keep failing… I want to help them, but I don’t know how…what should I do?” Well, to be fair, since Yukari over is giving me some time, might as well answer them!
Yukari: Look, I don't know why you were eavesdropping on me and Joker. But, the reason why I told you about the fact that you and the others could get paralyzed by her pokèmon is because I don’t want you guys to think that it was your types fault that we lost. I don’t mind losing since I can always watch the battle later to analyze what we both went wrong. Of course, I can use the tera orb to do all of that, but even then, that wouldn’t be enough.
Kokichi: <...Do you…do you always release pokèmon…when you don’t need them?>
Yukari: …Kokichi…
While Yukari is talking to Kokichi, Iono can’t help but feel bad for him. She didn’t mean to eavesdrop on them, but she pretends she didn’t hear all that while entertaining her chat.
Yukari: I do release them…when they’re ready to move on.
Kokichi: <...huh?>
Yukari: Prior to meeting Kiel and Forte, I used to have Pokèmon I would release when they go back. Said Pokèmon are also those that have a bad life, bad trainer, I can go on if I’m able to. Unlike you, Kiel, and Forte, them and I always agree that our teamwork is temporary until the day they leave. I sometimes wonder if I should ask them to be a part of my team. However, I can’t focus on the past cause I have Joker, Kiel, Forte, and you.
Kokichi: <Yukari…I’m sorry for assuming.>
Yukari: It’s fine. What we should focus on now is the battle we both have… Iono, I’m done! Let’s get back to battle!

Kokichi: But, that move though…will it be enough to win this?

Kokichi looked at whoever shouted at him and saw Kiel, who was at the railings of the battle court. The audience starts to mutter about the Shiny Charcadet being here.

Due to Kiel cheering for Kokichi, the audience starts cheering him on, hoping he’ll master that move as well.

Iono heads where her phone is when suddenly Kokichi starts glowing.

Kiel chases after the rockruff while Kokichi follows him. Once they arrive, they hid behind the bushes as they watch Rockruff running towards some tinkatink duo.
Rockruff: <I was only able to get one, but we can all share.>

Kokichi:Huh…so the rockruff is named Jazzy? And she steals Kiel’s ice cream…for her and the Tinkatinks to eat?

Due to Kiel’s comment, Jazzy and the Tinkatinks heard him. This causes Jazzy to run where Kokichi and Kiel are hiding.
Jazzy: <Hey, no boys allowed!>
Kokichi: <Weren’t you the one that stole my friend’s ice cream though?>

Cut to Kokichi, Kiel, Jazzy, and the tinkatinks enjoying some complementary ice cream. The ice cream vendor, revealed to be called Icey, heals Kiel and Jazzy up while Kokichi watches the tinkatinks.
Icey: Jeez, I know you like to battle and all, but you were about to faint that shiny charcadet there…
Jazzy: <I would’ve won if you didn’t come after them!>

Kokichi and Kiel look over and see Yukari, Joker, and Forte walking towards them.

Icey: No, it’s fine. Your Raboot defend the rockruff and I ended up giving them completmary ice cream.
Yukari: I see.
Forte: <Hey, I want some ice cream!>
Joker: <But, that would cost some money…>
As Joker and Forte chat, Icey puts Yukari aside while making sure Jazzy doesn’t hear them.
Icey: In truth, I knew that Raboot was lying about that Rockruff being yours.
Yukari: Wha- If that’s the case, why didn’t you scold him?
Icey: Well, I didn’t. You see, an old couple have a pokè egg that they were going to name them Jazzy once they hatch. However, they sadly pass away due to an illness they caught and that poor Rockhuff hatched on the same day they succumbed to their illness. That little girl must’ve been confused and the only company she has are the tinkatinks duo, who lost their parents during the storm.
Yukari: I see…
Kokichi walks to Yukari as he taps on her leg, causing her to turn around.
Kokichi: <Hey…um…I understand that you’re not used to…this…but I really want you to continue gym battling…>
Yukari: Kokichi…I’m sorry…I didn’t know you…
Kokichi: <It’s fine. It’s my fault for not saying it sooner.>
Icey: Speaking of gym battling, the next one up is Kofu, isn’t it?
Yukari: Yep. He should be easy knowing Joker…
Icey: Ahahaha, the director wasn’t kidding about you being so serious. You should relax! Ease up a little.

Icey: Well, I know the treasure hunt got some students like you got hit by confusion ray from a ghost pokèmon, but you should take your time on it. Besides, some adults like me are still on their treasure hunt.

As Yukari kept talking to Icey, Kokichi walks over to Jazzy, who is watching Tinka and Tinker playing.
Kokichi: <I’ll be honest, if we met you alot sooner, then I wouldn't have made an assumption.>

Kokichi: <Well…it’s a long story, but that’s not my point. I notice that despite how Kiel is doing his best at defending and attacking, you appear to know what moves to use. Instead of stealing to take care of them, you can just find a trainer…plus, Yukari wouldn’t mind you joining. After all, we have three fire type if we count myself there and I figure we need some balance.>
Jazzy: <...Sorry, but I have to take care of them…>
Kokichi: <...That’s fine.>
Yukari: Kokichi! We’re going to do some preparations for the gym!
Kokichi: -To Yukari- <Alright, I’m coming!> -To Jazzy- <...Well, it was nice meeting you.>
Kokichi walks away as Jazzy watches him leave.

Just then, Tinka and Tinker carries Jazzy to the cab that Yukari called and secretly puts her inside without anyone noticing.
Jazzy: <Hey, what are you two->
Tinka: <It’s okay! We can take care of ourselves!>
Tinker: <You can be with them. Besides, you always tell us about how you wanted to be an Paldea champion.>

With that, the cab starts flying towards the destination where Yukari wants to go.

The mention of Artazon then prompts the lamp near her to start flickering. Her expression is still light, but the flickering increases in intensity until she draws a breath and speaks again.
Daydre: "Yeah, I wish I'd been there too. But that's life, huh?"

Daydre is here to see a sleep psychologist.
No beating around the bush here, really.
As her mission has gone unfulfilled, she's found that it's been getting harder and harder to sleep soundly. Cons of dealing in ghosts, she supposed.
She wasn't expecting this psychologist to help much, most psychologists didn't really deal with Ghosts and she didn't want to track down a medium because they're a mixed bag. (And also might excise the Ghosts she's trying to keep). But she came highly recommended from a variety of people on the internet and it couldn't hurt to try. Right?
Daydre enters the office building where the psychologist is set up, follows some signs down a variety of different bland looking hallways, and ends up in front of what is presumably her office. The nameplate next to the door has the right name, anyway.
Daydre knocks on the door.

Shortly after, someone answers.
The woman who opens the door is... pretty. Her features are rounded, but her eyes have a slightly sharp set to them. She's about as tall as Daydre, but a little bit thinner. She's wearing a beige pantsuit and white turtleneck. Unusually, her hair is long and white— with straight bangs and two red streaks dyed into it on either side of her face.
Psych: "Hello there!"
Her voice is pleasing. Soft and warm. Daydre notes she has a slight Sinn accent.
Psych: "I'm assuming you're..."
Daydre: "Daydre. I made an appointment for 2:00?"
Psych: "Yes! Just wanted to hear you say it yourself, you know how it is."
She chuckles and lets Daydre in the room.
It's a pretty generic looking room. The walls are a neutral shade of beige-ish yellow. Her desk is off in the corner, though she does have one of those chairs that has an exercise ball instead of a seat. The other end of the room seems to be where she talks to patients- there's a chair and an almost stereotypical looking chaise a tasteful distance apart from each other.
Daydre: "..."
Psych: "Oh, you can have a seat on that chaise over there." ... Daydre didn't want to admit it but she hadn't actually been sure if that was where she was supposed to sit.
She sits.
Psych Hiyoko: -sitting in the chair across from her- "So, what is it you came to- Oh! Where are my manners! You already know this but I'm Hiyoko Ketane."
Daydre nods.
Hiyoko: "But yes! What did you want to talk about today?"
Daydre: "Eh... Just been having trouble sleeping lately. Probably because of the Ghosts."
Hiyoko: "Hm.. Unusual, but not unheard of. Do you have any idea how you might've attracted these Ghosts?"
Daydre thinks back to the time she literally bought them off of Pok Ebay. For real money. Of her own volition.
Daydre: "Uhhh.... Not... really?"
Hiyoko: "What is the nature of the sleep loss they're causing? Are they preventing sleep entirely, or just showing unpleasant things that cause you to wake up?"
Daydre: "Latter."
Daydre: Are most psychologists usually this knowledgeable about possession?
Hiyoko: "Hm..."
She becomes lost in thought for a second.
Hiyoko: "And what are they showing you, exactly? You might be able to appease them if there's a pattern to the dreams. Sometimes appeasing them is the best we can get, though there are some suppressants we can use if they don't respond well to that..."
Daydre: Well, I know exactly how to appease them. It's doing that that's the problem... And I dunno if I should use suppressants, I need Aya and Ana Maria's powers....
Daydre: "I... don't think suppressants would be a good idea for me. I've uh, responded poorly to stuff like that in the past."
Hiyoko: "Interesting... I don't think I've heard of that before but, well, I can't really make you take something you don't want."
Daydre: "The things they show me... It's... Running through the woods at night. There's someone else beside me. We're both running away from a man- the person next to me's fiance. He's behind us, gaining on us, and I'm never fast enough to get away. The dream always ends when he catches us though."
Hiyoko: "Probably the Ghost of a murder victim then.. That sounds like some sort of recollection, and I doubt the man chasing you in these dreams is trying to give you a friendly handshake."
Daydre: Haha. Nooooooo he's not.
Hiyoko: "Well, this doesn't sound like the kind of appeasement most people would be capable of, so I can't recommend that... The laws surrounding Ghost witness testimony are complex and dealing with them might cause more stress than it's worth, and we also don't know what time period this would've taken place in."
Hiyoko: "It's unorthodox, but I do have one thing I can offer."
Daydre: "Oh?"
Hiyoko: "I usually try to get to know my client a little better before suggesting this, but you uh..."
Daydre's eyes have rather deep and obvious bags under them.
Hiyoko: "You look like you need this."
Daydre: "... Not to be short, but what exactly is this treatment you're suggesting?"
Hiyoko: "Ah, I have mild Psychic abilities. I'm licensed to use them in my field, so don't worry-"
She gestures to a certificate in a frame on the wall.
Hiyoko: "- you wouldn't be in any danger, but I do legally have to disclose that I'm doing it. Basically I just apply a field localized in this area that pacifies anything in it so you can sleep for a while. It's a bandaid, but it's better than nothing."
Daydre: "... Alright, do it."
Daydre: I've had people mess with my brain enough that I'd notice it if she was doing something, right?
Hiyoko: "Oh! I'll admit I'm used to most people being more hesitant than that. But, I can get started in just a sec..."
She gestures for Daydre to lie down.
Hiyoko: "It should be fairly quick... Just focus on my eyes."
Daydre does so, and slowly her conscious fuzzes at the edges.
Hiyoko: "Don't worry. Just let me take care of everything."
Her voice is so soft... So pleasant. It almost makes Daydre want to believe what she's saying.
Hiyoko: " 5... 4... 3..."
Ah... It's all going dark.

Yukari: Okay, so I know most of you are weak to water type, but based on the experience of battles, I ended up changing some of your moves regardless if it’s for gym or not. The next gym is the water gym. The gym leader Kofu not only runs the gym, but also runs a restaurant.
Kiel:<Wow! I wanna try that!>
Joker:<But, only winners get to eat at his restaurant, so that’s where I come in.>
Forte:<Let me guess, you’re going to pull a “theft” of the battle by having Yukari using her tera orb to defeat Kofu’s Pokèmon?>
Joker:<Only on his last pokèmon though! He’ll never see it coming.>
Kokichi:<Guess the three of us have to be watching the battle then.>
Kiel:<But, what should we do during that time?>
Yukari: Right…I can’t have you three sit around and wait…
As Yukari and the team chat away, Jazzy came out of the cab before it took off.
Jazzy:Whew…that was close…anyway, where is Kokichi…
Jazzy walk around, missing Yukari and the team by simply walking away from them. But, she accidently bumped into an old man.
Jazzy: <Whoops! Sorry to bump into you!>
Old Man: It’s fine. Are you lost?
Jazzy: <Um…I don’t know if looking for a Raboot is considered lost…>
Old Man: I see…well, I’ll tell you what. If you bring me 10 bronzor fragments, I might give you something.
Jazzy: <Sweet! I’ll defeat those bronzor in no time flat!>
This rockruff has her own tempo. Jazzy then goes and finds some 10 bronzor fragments in the other direction as Yukari and co walk by.
Joker: <Well, there is a water park, but I’m not sure if that’s fire friendly.>
Kokichi: <We could just ask Kofu nicely if the three of us watch the battle…>
Forte:<But, what if Kiel gets wet?>
Kokichi: <Don’t the both of us get wet?>
Yukari: He’s not wrong though…
Just then, an old woman came up to Yukari.
Old woman: Oh, hello dear. I notice that you have a Ceruledge.

Joker:<My apologies dear madam, but my trainer doesn’t want to trade her Ceruledge off. She is very important to her.>
Old Woman: Oh, my apologies, and what a polite Meowscarda you got there. However, I am not looking for that kind of trade. I’m only looking for 10 sinistea Chips. If you’re able to get them, I’ll give you some tickets to a performance in Medali.
Yukari: Hmm, yeah. That should be a good deal.

With that, Yukari and co head off to get 10 sinsitea chips for tickets. Meanwhile, with Jazzy…

As Jazzy kept looking, she spot an 10th Bronzor fragment near a worm pokèmon. She runs towards and grabs it while accidentally bumping into a worm pokèmon.
Jazzy: <Aha! 10th Bronzor fragment! Now then, time to get an award from the old man!>
Just as Jazzy was going to walk back, the ground starts to shake as it reveals that the worm pokèmon is no ordinary worm; It’s a titan Orthworm! Which leads to the Orthworm roaring at Jazzy. Meanwhile…with Yukari and co…
Forte has pretty much faint all the sinistea to get the sinistea chips they need. While Kiel is in amazement, Kokichi and Joker turn white as a ghost, knowing very well that Forte can easily KO them if needed.
Yukari: Okay, so, how many we got?
Forte: <10.>
Yukari: Okay, let’s go back.
As they were walking back, Kiel stops for a moment as he turns around and runs towards somewhere else, with Kokichi noticing him.
Kokichi:<Kiel, where are you going?>
Kokichi follows Kiel while Yukari and co follows them in pursuit. Once they caught up to Kiel, they see Jazzy battling an titan Orthworm.
Yukari: What the rockruff doin?!
Joker: <Well, whatever it is, it appears that it’s doing well for the attacks, but…>
Kokichi: <Yeah…just one fire move should’ve end it by now.>
Kiel: <...I got it!>
Kiel heads off to where the battle is happening.
Jazzy: Oh come on! Give me a break here! I just want the 10th fragment, not battling until one of us fainted!

The scene jumpcuts back to Yukari and co, along with Jazzy, walking about to the elders to give them what they needed with Kokichi holding the salty herba mystica.
Kokichi:<I see, so you wanted to join us after all.>
Jazzy: <Yeah…sorry for not saying it sooner.>
Yukari: It’s fine. Plus, I don’t mind having you on the team.
Jazzy: <Really? Yes, my dream to be an Paldea champion is about to come true!>
Kokichi:She really likes the idea of beating the Paldea champion…
When they arrive, Yukari and co went to the old woman while Jazzy went where the old man is at. Yukari got the tickets for the performance and they wait for Jazzy to come back to them.
Joker:<Gotta say, never thought that it’s the same rockruff from before.>
Yukari: Yeah…and what Icey told me is true. I think it’s best that I’ll keep her. Once I meet Icey again, I’ll ask them where their graves are to pay respect.
Jazzy walks back to the group with the Auspicious Armor and the old man.
Old Man: Ah, so you’re her trainer, huh?

Before Yukari say anything, Forte grabs her phone and calls the cab. There, it shows up as Forte grabs Yukari as they all head towards the cab as the old man sees them off.

Chloe: These islands seem peaceful but they've got a lot of bloody history it seems, like the color of these flowers.
