<Zoltan: "How come Nadia gets to spit everywhere but I don't?">

<Francis: "She's training...">

<Zoltan: "I didn't get to do that the last time I trained!">

<Francis: (*sigh*)>

Ruins of the Alph, several months ago

Rex and Co. gathered around the tiny sheep, taking in her new appearance with some surprised murmurs. After a moment, Rex decided to let the Pokemon converse among themselves, stepping back to call Prof. Elm about the Pidgeotto.

Rascal: <Hey! Ohm isn't woolly anymore! Good thing we didn't decide to name her Fluffy after all!>

Gaea: <Yes, thank Arceus for that...>

Anya: <How are you feeling, Ohm?>

Ohm: <Umm...I think I'm okay. I feel fine, anyway.>

She took a step towards the Scyther to prove her point...only to fall flat on her face, letting out a pitiful bleat.

Ohm: <Owie...>

Krystal snickered at her plight, pawing at newly exposed flesh tauntingly.

Krystal: <Poor little Whimsicott; it seems that gravity isn't your friend either~>

Rascal: <Hey! Leave her alone! She's just not used to walking on hindlegs yet!>

Krystal turned to the Flareon, no doubt preparing to make him the new target of her insults when she sensed someone moving behind her. Turning around, she found Ohm on her feet again, giving her a glare.

Ohm: <...>

Krystal: <Hmm? Have something to say?>

Ohm: <...>

Ohm's face clouded over, a grim expression plastered on her normally kind features. Krystal seemed unworried, though Rascal took a fearful step back, noting something very different about the sheep.

Ohm: <You...>

Krystal: <...Eh?>

Ohm: <   I DON'T LIKE YOU!   >

With an angry bleat, Ohm's cheeks crackled with energy, a blast of electricity flying at the Zorua. Rex's group stared in surprise, the fox Pokemon taking the hit dead on and twitching violently. Then, she collapsed to the ground in a smoky heap, coughing weakly.

Rex: Oh no! Krystal!

Rushing over to his Pokemon, Rex kneeled down and checked on the Zorua. Apparently, the light of Krystal's Thundershock caught his attention.

Rex: Are you okay?

Krystal: <Hah...you think that hurt? Ugh, my spleen...>

Satisfied that she way still in decent condition, Rex sprayed her with a bit of Super Potion from his bag, giving her an Oran Berry for good measure. Then, he recalled her into her ball, placing it on his belt. Then he turned to Ohm, the Pokemon looking extremely sheepish at the moment.

Rex:    Ohm...   

Ohm: <...baah... >

Rex: That was a great shot!

Ohm: <...eh? o_o>

Rex: It's so great that you can use electricity now! I was so worried, but all it took was some training for you to evolve!

Ohm: <Baaah~>

Rex: But still, hitting your teammates is bad, okay? Be sure to apologize to Krystal when she finishes resting.

Ohm: <I promise~>

Rex smiled, petting the Flaaffy on the head. A sudden tingle went up his arm, the appendage locking in place rather suddenly.

Rex: Urk...Static seems to be working better now too...

He pulled away from the sheep, fishing through his bag for a Cheri Berry. Meanwhile, the other three Pokemon turned to Ohm, looking at the changed sheep curiously. For her part, she simply smiled sweetly, her eyes dark and full of malice.

Ohm: <   Vengeance will be swift~   >

Hello, I hope I'm not interrupting an epic climax. However, I had been checking out your WAAPT pages for quite some time and was interesting in joining the group. I even have an idea for a decent sidestory that could be interesting for a sidearc. I was curious to see if my character can make an introduction yet.

Lake: <Hmm...well, when I use Hydro Pump, the air sacks in my body compress my water bladder hard enough to shoot a whole lot of water at once. Now, I don't know very much about Salamence, but I'm guessing you might have a similar system in place. Except for the lack of a water bladder...>

Comet: <Maybe she does have one, though?>

Lake: <Hmm?>

Comet: <Well, the water's gotta' come from somewhere, so maybe all Salamence have one, but they don't use it much?>

Lake: <...Maybe.> *To Nadia.* <What do you think?>

Wherever Lake is

<Nadia: "Er... I guess I could try... But how would I know if I'm doing it right?">

-Tries to disgorge some water repeatedly-

<Nadia: "(*ptoo ptoo*) ... Maybe I need to go dee- URK!">

-And accidentally triggers her gag reflex, letting a relatively small amount of fluid come out-

<Nadia: "Nngh... Please tell me I didn't throw up...">

-Looking at a damp patch of ground-

<Teala: "... It doesn't look like you did... I mean, it's clear and I don't see any particles in it...">

-has been getting ready to leave, which is harder than it looks when Frillish insists on examining everything-

Lake: <Oh dear, are you alright? That didn't look pleasant for you.> *Examines the liquid closely.* <This is water though, so we're on the right track, at least. We just need to work on your technique.>

Comet: <We may need a bucket, too...>

Rex: And that's how Ohm learned how to harness the power of electricity. *stretches* Anyway, I think I need to walk around for a bit. All of this sitting in one place is getting boring.

Kim: Yeah, I know what you mean. *pats Jeremy's Lampent* Come on, little ghost. Let's go meet some more people. ...And try not to eat my soul anymore, okay?

Rex: Hmmm...who should I go see? I think Every and Mezzo are sick of seeing me, so I'll leave them alone for now. DS seems to be hanging out with Wolf. Not sure where that slouching fellow is.

Kim: Why don't you come with me to see Star?

Rex: *pales*

Rex: E-erm...I-I think I'll go visit Silent.

Kim: ...okay?

Rex: *flees*

Kim: ...I don't think I'll ever understand him. *goes to find Star*

No idea.

Oh, right. I wonder why they arranged the gyms that way. They usually seem to get progressively harder as you travel the region. That's a lot of backtracking.

Silent's Room

Silent goes open the door, holding his egg, and sees Rex.

"Hey, Rex... how has your day been doing?"
