- My Pokémon start wandering around, Artemis and Mira go off somewhere on their own, as does Ribbons, while carrying Silvermist with her. Tulip stays with me -

Silvermist: <This is going to be so much fun!>

Ribbons: <I guess...>

Silvermist: <... Something wrong, Ribbons?>

Ribbons: <No, it's just that... ever since I fully evolved, DS has been paying less attention to me.> (sighs) <Maybe it's because I'm not cute anymore...>

Silvermist: <What? Don't be silly! DS doesn't judge Pokémon based on their looks.>

Ribbons: <I know, but...>

Silvermist: <Besides, you're still cute.>

Ribbons: <Not like her!> (gesturing towards Tulip) <Or the Ducklett that will hatch from that egg...>

Silvermist: <Ribbons, there is nothing to worry about. DS' feelings for you haven't changed at all.>

Ribbons: <You're probably right, but still... I wish she would spend more time with me.>

Silvermist: <Well, she brought you along on this trip, didn't she? Maybe she felt the same way?>

Ribbons: <... You think?> (thinks about it for a moment, then smiles) <Thanks, Silvermist. I feel better now.>

Silvermist: <No problem, Ribbons!>

-Everyone except Ninetales, and Kessie go off to do their own thing-

Hmm... -looks at the five new Pokeballs on my belt- Do you guys want to meet my new Pokemon?

-I walk in to Wolf with Ichtacya making company, while Shahinne is looking out through a window-

— Yes, I guess it would be interesting. — pets the Leafeon.

Tulip: (looks over at Wolf) <Oh? Who are they, yes?>

- Looks over at Wolf -

Go ahead, Wolf. I'd like to see them again.

Tulip: (tilts head) <You've already met them, yes?>

-Releases four of them. A Flaaffy, an Eevee, a Hoothoot, and a Meganium-

This is Fleece.

Fleece: <H-hello.>

Max.

Max: <I'm gonna grow up to be an Umbreon!>

Pigwidgeon.

Pig: -stretches- <It's so nice to be out of that box.>

And this...is my Bayleef. The one I left at the Lake of Rage to take care of the young Chikorita there. Obviously she's all grown up, now. To commemorate her return, I've given her the name Ivy.

Ivy: <It is a pleasure to meet you all.>

-looks at the fifth Pokeball-

This might be a little complicated...

Harriet: <Urgh! What's he doing now?!>

Guardé: -Is standing at the front of the boat.- <And so we sail on to brave new lands in search of foes to fight, and Pokémon to save! KNOW THIS EVIL DOERS! Guardé the Gallade and his crew know where you live! And we're coming to bring you to JUSTICE!>

Chord: <Would anymon here mind if I pushed him over the side?>

Harriet: <I won't stop you...>

Meanwhile, at the back of the boat...

-It would take only the most observent People or Pokémon to notice a tiny Joltik climb up from the side of the boat onto the deck. Checking to make sure that the coast is clear, the tiny bug scurries into a doorway out of sight. Then...

SHIMMER!

The tick Pokémon is replaced by the form of a large fox Pokémon.-

Phantom: -Smirks.- <Made it.>

-A another Pokémon appears out of mid-air next to the Zoroark, this one a Mismagius.-

Hallow: <Eeheehee~! And nobody suspects a thing!>

Phantom: <Yeah, as far as Luke's concerned, we're still back at the Safari Zone being good little Pokémon.> -Smirks.- <You'd think he would have learned by now, wouldn't you?>

Hallow: <Ah well. It just makes playing tricks all the more easier for us! So, what shall we do first? Steer the boat off course? Use you Illusion ability to fake a storm? Put laxatives in the sunscreen?>

Phantom: <No. We can't do anything like that just yet. It's too small a boat, they'd find us too easily. And being found is hardly what we want right now.>

Hallow: <Ah...True.>

Phantom: <So, we wait until we arrive. Then the fun can start...>

Hallow: <Eeheehee~! You truly are a master of your craft, Phantom.>

Phantom: <I do try...>

Ichtacya — <Oh hello there, Max!> — licks as welcome — <...Aw, why not a Leafeon, eh?> — she answers coyly.

— Hello, there, Fleece. An interesting name... — to Wolf — From Rt.32, right?

-Shahinne looks at Wolf's mons with disinterest, then keeps staring through the window-

Max: -giggles at being licked- <My mommy was a Leafeon! But I wanna grow up to be like my dad!>

Yes, he is, Silent. How did you know?

-looks at the Pokeball again- I think I'll have to save this introduction for a little later.

- Artemis and Mira watch Guardé from some distance away -

Artemis: <... Well, he certainly seems like an interesting guy.>

Mira: <Although those hand blades look pretty... Sharp...> (shudders)

Artemis: <... Um...> (clears throat) <Wanna talk about our relationship instead?>

Mira: <...>

Artemis: <It's been a while after the whole time incident... So, if you are ready to make it official, then...>

Mira: (shakes head)

Artemis: <Oh, you're not?>

Mira: (sighs)

Artemis: (pats Mira on the back with her paw) <It's okay. Take your time.>

-smiles to Wolf-

— Oh it's something of a theme naming we found when we were defending Johto... nevermind. Just ask Woolly about names of her flock.

-Ichtacya smiles at Max and brushes the Eevee's fur-

Ichtacya — <Well I am gonna guess your dad is very pretty.>

-looks at Wolf-

— I see I am not the only one saving introductions for later...

O...kay?

Max: -rolls over onto his back, while Ichtacya pampers him- <You're really nice, Miss Leafeon!>

Oh? And what are you saving, Silent?

- Looking around at the various Pokémon -

(thinking) Seems like we'll have a lot of new Pokémon friends with us for this vacation.

- Smiles -

I look forward to training Tulip, and my Ducklett once it hatches.

I'm also glad I brought Ribbons and Silvermist along, since I haven't spent enough time with Ribbons lately, and Silvermist... Well, of course I had to bring Silvermist along for a place with so much water for her to swim around in.

- Glancing over in the direction Artemis and Mira went off in -

... I hope Mira is doing okay. Ever since the alternate timeline thing, she just hasn't been the same... She's been acting a bit less formal, simply referring to me as just DS instead of master DS... And then there's this fear of sharp objects that she seems to have developed... Well, at least Artemis and the others can help me keep an eye on her.

-I let all my Pokemon out, them being Vriska, Valkon, Zero, Aurora, Crescent, Venusaur, Hax, and Luna, to wander the ship-

Okay you can wander around, but don't get into trouble.

Everyone:<Okay.>

— When I was with your group at Sinnoh, the guys were so kind to get me a Root Fossil, so I took it to be revived about three weeks ago. I'll show him around as soon as we can get to a secluded and calm beach.

-Meanwhile, Ichtacya is having her fun petting and brushing Max-

-At the other side of the ship-

-Shahinne hops around the ship until she finds a spot to nest from where she can watch a good portion of starboard. Happily, she begins to sing, meanwhile Algira flies in, finds her, and perches on a random chair-

-nods approvingly- Very cool. I don't think I've ever met a Lileep.

-Max purrs happily-

-Has let my mons out while I look out at the horizon from a chair-

In the sky above the boat, hidden by cloud cover

Draca: -Is busy gliding- <Come on Hydreigon, enjoy the thermals!>

Hydreigon: <Remind me why we're doing this again.>

Draca: <Because someone has to make sure that Tagg doesn't do something crazy, and Muddy and Helios can't do that alone.>

Hydreigon: <You have a point there.>

Draca: <Shame we couldn't take more mons with us.>

- Looking around -

... I wonder what the Orange Islands will be like? I haven't read much about them, I'll admit...

-Mutters some stuff-

Muddy: <Well according to Tagg it's tropical in climate, has mainly Kanto and Johto mons, and for some reason there's a higher prevalence of shiny Pokemon there.>

Oh, I see...

- Thinks for a moment -

... From what little I have read about the place, there are some sort of gyms there to challenge, is that right?

I believe so, yes. I think the Leaders were in the Gold Conference.

- Looks over at Wolf -

Oh.

... I'm not sure if I will challenge them or not.

I hear that it's a bit different a gym challenge from the other Leagues.

Different? How so?

They're not really "battles" so much as...challenges.
