I stand in my hind legs and examine my body a bit, can't avoid things like whiskers or ears flickering.

Checking my own whiskers, then my paws... suddenly the realization comes down and I decide to look further down...

To Tagg, slightly disheartened.

Maekrite (walks in and sits in front of me) — <You know, you kind of remind me of my little siblings...>

— <Please...> — stretches paw — <Oh, cool! My own arsenal! Fear me! ...How do I try my poison?> — to Maekrite — <I mean, I can, right?>

It's hard to explain how it went for me... try figuring out what new controls your instincts point at.

Maekrite (smiling) — <Awwww...>

Hmm... a bit feisty, all of a sudden...

Basket: <I guess instinct, or hormones at least, filters your behavior at least a little when you use that...>

<Speaking of which, how are you feeling about bananas?>

...not as excited about them, but I do appreciate them more after tasting them through the right buds...

...and those Pecha berries look really nice. Good job on the cultivation!

Maekrite (head tilted and smiling to himself) — <Just keep trying. It'll serve you as training... speaking of which> — thursts me gently with horn, sending me to the ground

— <Ughh...> — manage to stand up and fixate my glare on Maekrite — <Now what was that for? Stop jabbing me like that!>

Maekrite — <Awww come on, my father taught me to leer like that...>

-Oakley just stands and takes the hit, once he has fainted I wander out of the arena and into the city of the afternoon-

-sees Pentigan leaving the arena-

How did it go?

-Recalls MGMT, gets applause from the crowd and follows Pentigan into the city-

-Stops, but does not say anything-

-Sees Pentigan and taps him on the shoulder-

I just wanted to say Pentigan... That was a great battle. I felt bad on not congratulating you on it.

That bad, huh? Hard luck, man. At least it was against Fool, and not someone evil, right?

There really wasn't a good ending to that match either way.

-Feels bad for beating Pentigan now-

Why is it that I came this far by defeating much tougher opponents than you, yet you wipe my entire team out only losing two of your own?

Well, Pentigan, you did win most of your battles by using some pretty eccentric tactics. Not to say that you aren't a good battler, but you also rely a lot on psychology. Fool knows you, though, so she obviously wouldn't be taken in by any of that.

Maekrite — <How does it feel, huh? Long time I wasn't that young...>

— <Feels... funny... can hear a lot of things, but they... don't distract me... all this people around...> — manage to move my ears — <one, two... three.... uh, four...?> — squint — <Like, more than four, definitively...>

Maekrite — <Fine...> — moves forward attempting to jab me again.

— <Hey!> — I manage to leap back but land on my butt because of no experience. — <WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!!!>

Who could confirm that those people were stronger than me Pentigan? I may have not been an "official" trainer for very long, but I have been raising and training Pokemon since I could remember. I could come up with 200 different strategies from one standpoint due to experiance with command units and whatnot.

And I had a very powerful singing electric eel. Please don't be upset Pentigan.
