Helmsman hid behind his Swords Dance geyser, Amaterasu surrounded herself in a Fire Spin, and Rei tried to bypass her super armor with an Icicle Crash as Roy retreated with the momentum from Flame Charge, and once within range, returned to Colt’s jacket.

Everyone else continued the assault, despite their trainer’s words. Too much momentum.
